Description: The Riverwest Co-op Cafe opened in 2004 next to the store in what used to...
The Riverwest Co-op Cafe opened in 2004 next to the store in what used to be the building's garage. We serve what we're confident is the best vegan and vegetarian food in town. The Cafe is open 7 am to 9 pm Monday through Friday and and 8 am to 9 pm on weekends. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is good. The Cafe menu is vegan/vegetarian made-to-order sandwiches, soups, desserts, and smoothies, using organic and locally grown produce whenever possible. A rotating selection of freshly-made vegan and vegetarian bakery and desserts are also featured. Our cooks takes great pride in using predominantly local, organic and small company produced ingredients. We now serve our full breakfast menu every morning with extended brunch hours on the weekends: 7 am until 11 am on weekdays and 8 am until 2 pm on the weekends. A limited version of our brunch menu can also be order at the Riverwest Public House from 11 am to 2 pm on weekends. Call for take-out orders, delivery via Flavorcycle or information on catering orders.

None of the pretension of health food. Just good folks cooking up great tasting food for a reasonable price. Very neighborly, amazing diversity. Very Riverwest.

We were so happy we made the trip out to this cozy, middle of the neighborhood, veg-friendly cafe! It made the mid-west feel like eating at home (in LA). I'm also a huge fan of cafe/store combo and an even bigger fan of the co-op model. The Riverwest Co-op truly exemplified how a co-op works when a patron walked up... More

Very tasty veggie meals served at the 5 tables in the side-room off of the crunchy-granola co-op grocery. The 2-3 people behind the counter - and a good number of the customers have as much inked art on their bodies (along with multiple piercings and vintage/second-hand inspired clothing) as there is art on the walls from local artists. I've always... More

Hit the spot on a late morning. The food is warm, delicious and it was made fresh and fast. The place is very small though, only seating 4-5 groups/pair of people. the store next door is nice too. probably would not bring your whole family here, but a couples breakfast is ideal. the people were also super friendly. would come... The Co-Op Cafe offers so much amazing vegan food, and they always have daily specials. Sometimes they mess up the orders, but I forgive them. Most of them are volunteers! Go for brunch, the french toast and pancakes are insane!
