Excellent food & drinks, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff

We saw Comet Cafe on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and decided to stop on our was from Chicago to the WIsconsin Dells. Boy, are we glad we did. The duck poutine fries are a must as a starter-rich, salty yumminess! For entrees we ordered the artichoke melt, the "belt", the rueben, the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and the... More

I had the bacon meatloaf in a beer gravy which was very very good and my girlfriend had the mac and cheese which was very good also. Enough for left overs. Parking was sorta difficult but thats to be expected when on the east side.

Small little place thats not very attractive inside. Waitress was nice and quick to get out food out. Food was average: nothing special. From reviews I read I thought it would be a lot better but it was just okay.

This restaurant is very popular, so expect to wait. The food is very good and the atmosphere is fun.

My husband and I read reviews of the Comet Cafe on Trip Advisor and decided to eat there. After finally finding it in an out of the way neighborhood, there was no parking except for street parking which was full for blocks. After circling several blocks for over 30 minutes someone pulled out and we were able to go eat.... More

We tell everyone to go here and we've only been once. My sandwich was fantastic and so was my cafe au lait. My husband had their bacon cakes. He craves them now.

Curse tv for hyping a restaurant that ultimately doesn't deliver. The Foghorn sandwich had so little meat on it, it was practically vegetarian. The meatloaf was completely overwhelmed by the gravy, and when you scraped it off, the meatloaf itself was just bland. The fried turkey dinner was, well fried turkey, stuffing, potato balls so it was heavy (not surprising)... More

We did a tour of Milwaukee with our adult children. This was the first place on our tour list. Our younger son had experienced this cafe and made it part of the family fun tour! Food and beverages were very good. Environment was stimulating. If it wasn't so busy, we would have stayed and just hung out. Will definitely return... More

A friend turned me on to this place. A lot of the staff had long hair and tats. I have absolutely no problem with that. If you do you're a prudish jerk. Great beer selection. I had a grilled cheese and tomato soup with fries. Really, really good. My friend had an ahi sandwich which he enjoyed a lot. Their... More
