Mac and Cheese heaven

Love this place. All natural and soooo good. The mac and cheese is the best thing ever, pretty much everything is good. Drinks were great. It was crowded and we had to wait but that is just because its that good everyone wants some.

Yep. The Comet is crowded. No doubt about it. But when the crowd seems to be mostly locals, you know you're on to something. Grab a seat at the bar, which seems to free up quicker, and make sure you order bacon with your breakfast (unless, of course, you're vegetarian - in which case ... sorry, but I ate the... More

We went for my birthday and as it was a sunday and I ordered one of their many micro brews the waiter also brought a pound of bacon, LOL. But their turkey balls with gravy and bacon wrapped meatloaf and the fact that they utilize the area's farms for fresh produce its just a great place to eat!

Never been to Comet Cafe when there hasn't been a wait. Just put your name on the list and it won't be long until you're sitting at a table and trying to decide whether to order the outrageous meatloaf or have something smaller and leave room for a piece of their excellent pie. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

We really enjoyed our entire experience at Comet Cafe. We expected to wait a long time, as there were many people on the waitlist when we signed in. However we got a seat at the bar within 5 minutes of our arrival. The bar was a great place to sit, and we got to watch the barista/bar tender at work.... More

We saw Comet Cafe on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and decided to stop on our was from Chicago to the WIsconsin Dells. Boy, are we glad we did. The duck poutine fries are a must as a starter-rich, salty yumminess! For entrees we ordered the artichoke melt, the "belt", the rueben, the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and the... More

I had the bacon meatloaf in a beer gravy which was very very good and my girlfriend had the mac and cheese which was very good also. Enough for left overs. Parking was sorta difficult but thats to be expected when on the east side.

Small little place thats not very attractive inside. Waitress was nice and quick to get out food out. Food was average: nothing special. From reviews I read I thought it would be a lot better but it was just okay.

This restaurant is very popular, so expect to wait. The food is very good and the atmosphere is fun.

My husband and I read reviews of the Comet Cafe on Trip Advisor and decided to eat there. After finally finding it in an out of the way neighborhood, there was no parking except for street parking which was full for blocks. After circling several blocks for over 30 minutes someone pulled out and we were able to go eat.... More
