Maxie's lunch truck and summer: the perfect combo!

A summer favorite is their noon lunch truck! Check it out for a great week-day escape from work. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes on the lunch truck menu.

We dined here around 7 on a Saturday night and were pleased to find we could be seated immediately. Our friendly host lead us through the downstairs dining area to a wide staircase to the second floor. We were seated near windows in the funky room where old doors hanging from the ceiling served as dividers from other tables. Our... More

This place is awesome, great atmosphere and location. They have outstanding oysters and a real steal for happy hour. I love everything about this place. Perfect for a date night, for after a brewer game with friends, or just with the whole family for tasty eats. Staff has always been top-notch friendly and prompt. Bar area is great and general... Have always wanted to visit as this place looked interesting and seemed always busy. We were in Milwaukee for business so decided to give it a try. The decor is very nice and well planned. We were seated quickly although I think there is oftentimes a wait. The server was tremendous and the food just as good. The brisket was... More

We were here with our friends, and we loved everything about this place: atmosphere, food, and service. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. I've never tried gumbo before and was not sure if I will like it or not, and he brought me a sample to try. My husband got "Chicken-Fried" Chicken, and it was delicious. We had great... More

First of this place is legit! Seems like more of a place for some "bro's" to go out and eat super rich comfort food and have some killer drinks while talking about sports. Cool little outdoor seating area bit inside is more my speed. We had some app plate that included some bacon pate topped with butter. Looked bad, tasted... More

Held staff dinner party in upper dining room/bar. Ribs and mac, corn arugula salad, frogpond stew, crab cakes, oysters rockefeller, cornbread, pork confit flatbread were all superb. Desserts were delicious and decadent. Very knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff. Just an overall great evening! Highly recommend.

Stopped recently just before closing with my son and girlfriend so no crowds at all. Very pretty restaurant with crystal chandeliers and a bit too loud music. Waiter was attentive and explained much on the menu, with no rush. Ordered a sandwich pulled pork N.C. Style. And it came with beans and slaw. Yum yum is all I an say.... More

The bar service seemed a tad slow but the food was top notch. Brisket, pulled pork, catfish, salad, mash potatoes, etc. seasonal vegies were cooked well - first to be eaten good. Menu was heavy to southern foods Service was good by our server. Will recommend and we will return.

Been there before...thought we'd try it again. Nah...no reason to go back. I kept wondering why we thought we liked the place. We have friends who swear by Maxie's...just not sure why.
