We went to Roots on a cool late summer evening. The vantage point of the deck is unique to the city. While I enjoyed the view, I did find myself wishing for a propane heater. I try to go to Roots often. The food is always excellent, albeit a bit pricey for the serving size. They offer wonderfully imaginative dishes. The downstairs patio is an oasis. Service is always pleasant, but sometimes a little lacking in attentiveness. more
If this place wasnt trying to be so hip it would be great. The food is great but why not have better ventilation or no smoking. I can barely taste the food it is so smokey with cigarettes. more
