We drove quite some distance from our home to use a Groupon here, and glad we did. It is large, dark, low lighting and candles, felt like we were in a restaurant in Europe; lovely. Our waiter was pleasant and nice, but realized later that he never told us about the specials, like a waitress did at a table next... More

Went to Old Town becuase of a gift ceritificate with another couple on Friday, April 4, 2014. We all ordered different Serbian specials and loved the food. Service from our waiter, Ihlia?, was excellent. The resturant also had background live music which was very entertaining but allowed us to converse without raising our voices. The overall experience was wonderful and... More

We were here with our family, a group of 12 including 3 children from 4 -12. Our food was great as was the service. Ilija was our waiter, and was very personable to all including the kids. As others have said the building could use some maintenance. Hopefully they will address the roof/ceiling issues.

I return to this restaurant for the food, and because it's a tradition with my family. However, the female owner is extremely rude, and I'm surprised they take such pride in their food when there is no pride in their service. There has been a time recently where I was there for 2.5 hours, so don't go expecting to leave... More

My wife and myself had the pleasure of dining at the Old Town Serbian Gourmet House on February 15. The Old Town Serbian Restaurant has been a favorite of ours for many years, and although we haven't been there in a while, it did not disappoint. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food ( I... More

Made last minute reservations for New Years Eve. No Problem. The down side of Old Town, not the best part of Milwaukee, limited parking, appears not to have enough business. The restaurant in need of maintenance. Buckets for catching roof leaks were observed and bathrooms need attention. The good parts of Old Town. Ordered a martini straight up. Old Town... More

Go. Just go. A great dining experience. 22 in the group and everything was great. The hostess explained what the food was and how it eas prepared. Can't wait until the next visit. Not convenient for me, but the drive was worth it.

Could be renamed "Old School Serbian." Very large 40-yo place that was probably a cornerstone of a then-Eastern European neighborhood back in the day. We'd definitely go again when next in town, but would go nearer to opening than to closing. Food: Entrees (goulash and stuffed peppers) were wonderful, made us want to try more Balkan dishes. Large portions, reasonable... More

My wife and I had just got off the ferry from Muskegon and found this place almost by accident. I was with the U.S. Army in Bosnia at the start of the NATO enforcement of the Dayton Peace Accord, and while there I ate a lot of authentic Serb food that I came to enjoy, so I was interested in... Want authentic serbian food? Look no further than Old Town. Most of the menu can be intimidating to pronounce but do not hesitate to try the fare. Even if you can't pronounce what you want to try doesn't mean you can't point it out to the wait staff and say, "I'll try this" We have been eating here for years... More
