Description: www.milwaukeefoods.com/bombaysweets. They were featured in the Shepherd/Express newspaper the week of 5/17, I believe, but have been here for at least 10 years. I've eaten there many times and keep going back. Food is inexpensive and it is the only place in Milwaukee that sells fresh, authentic Indian sweets in quantity.

We regularly visit this local gem, whenever we crave for authentic north Indian food. Don't expect white table clothes, proper dishes or silverware or even decent service. But all that is well compensated by great flavors and homemade taste. Fairly large menu of vegetarian snacks and meals. My favorites are Gobi paratha, indian flat bread stuffed with caulflower, Makki dee... More

Lady was so rude and not attentive. I ordered some food to go and she missed some food to put in bag. Leaving it apart , all the snacks and sweets smelt extremely old and got sick after eating. Please beware of this place. Veg biriyani was totally worst

During the visit the food seemed ok, but the next day it really started messing with my system and I felt terrible. There is much better Indian food in Milwaukee.

Have tried this several times as an lunch option. The food is good and has homemade essence to it. I get the Thali and it has some variety each day while keeping it consistent as well.

My friends and I visited Bombay Sweets after hearing great things about them, and were greeted by the most uncourteous staff. We were appalled at the way we were treated. We reached at 11 am (Labor Day) and were told to go and visit the store next door as the staff was vacuuming. We came back after 10-15 mins..and while... More

This place is like a part of Devon Ave in Chicago in Milwaukee. Go for the Sweets to-go, return for the meals. HUGE menu, what we had was excellent, and then the pastries are the icing on the cake (no pun intended). Very reasonable prices, if not down right cheap.

After seeing the reviews on TA raving about the value, we bargain hunters from New York had to check it out. The menu is above the counter, and we were startled to see that the price of most of the standard entrees was $4.99!! The selection is limited; at that price, you're not going to see dishes based on more... More

It does not match what you get at Devon in Chicago but there is a very nice selection of chaats, samosas, sweets, bhel puri, paani puri and so on. If you enjoy Indian fast food and snacks, definitely worth a visit.

We eat here all the time (like twice a month for the past several years.) There are tons of choices, and all the ones we've had were good. The daily special ($7) is nice as it typically includes rice, curry, daal, yogurt, roti, and rice pudding. Did I mention that everything is cheap? Food is authentically spiced---if you're not into... Bombay Sweet is a ma and pa neighborhood Indian as well sweet shop. The food is excellent and very inexpensive. Unfortunately they have been serving on styrofoam plates. Hopefully they will get some real ones.
