Better than Ever

Hadn't been to Crazy Water for some time -- 2+ years. It was even better than I remember it. The only downside, as many have mentioned, is that it gets crowded. They jam a lot of diners in a small space. In a way, though, that is part of its charm. If you have an option choose a table away... read more

Went here for my husband's birthday. He had beef wellington, I had a stuffed chicken breast with gnocchi and our daughter had the scallops. We loved everything. Great service and charming atmosphere made for a delightful night.

This restaurant is in a unique historic building, but is very small, and a bit too congested for my taste. The entryway is up a steep set of 6 stairs, with no handicap entrance. The food presentation was very good, and the taste was good. The cheesecake was tasty.

My Husband and I choose this restaurant recently for a birthday celebration. We were there last in warmer weather and ate on the patio, which is delightful, and quite different to being inside in the dining room. After initially being seated by a draughty door, we were moved to a table in the main room which was a huge improvement.... More

During a romantic weekend getaway in Milwaukee (yes, it can indeed be a romantic destination!), my husband and I were searching for a memorable anniversary meal. Sadly, we learned that too many top restaurants are closed on Sunday. Happily, we learned that Trip Advisor's #20 (now, I see, risen to #19) was open. And after dining there, we both agreed... More

The Crazy Shrimp is simply crazy good. Also, the Endive Salad and Pork Bellies. As others have said, the quarters are a bit tight but that seems to add to the intimate feel. Wonderful experience.

I started with the burrata and black truffle , they put LEMON on it ! Any acidic food like tomato or citrus of any type destroy the truffle , Truffles need high fat foods to make their presence known, we have been cooking with Truffles for many years and often go to Alba Italy for the truffle Auction . i... My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Crazy Water after reading all the good reviews on Trip Advisor. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Our service was incredible. We started with the pork belly appetizer. I've had pork belly at many restaurants before, but this beats them all. I had the halibut for dinner and my... More

1 to 5 rating Atmosphere: 2 Service: 2 Food: 2 Food options: 2 Clean: 3 Very crowded and loud be prepared to bump chairs with other guests. Dark and dreary would some it up. Our waitress was absent for most of our experience when we did ask questions about menu she was unfamiliar with their menu. For the price I... More

My husband and I went here with another couple. When you first walk in, you see the small kitchen to the right. It doesn't appear to be anything fancy but the food will tell you otherwise! It is very small so I would recommend reservations .The atmosphere is very cozy and warm. We were seated in the very back. They... More
