On a weekend trip to Milwaukee, my boyfriend and I stopped in based on positive Yelp! reviews. SDE satisfied all my needs when at a Wisconsin bar. Antique established atmosphere, genuine wait staff, pretty decent food, and wonderfully made Old Fashions. We liked it so much, we stopped in two nights in a row. I ordered the veggie melt (delicious!)... More

Went for an early dinner before a concert. Food was good and service was great. The decor inside takes you back to another era.

Went here during our stop in Milwaukee along a road trip. The food was tasty, the drinks were good and the service and atmosphere were great. It was a laid back friendly vibe with fun music and history.

My husband and I spent a couple hours at Swingin' Door before a wedding reception next door at the Grain Exchange. We had a blast! Cute little hole in the wall with a great beer selection and a fully stocked bar. Wonderful service from all bartenders who were working their butts off! The food that was coming out of the... More

Good food. Good service. Friendly. Not expensive. Good for tourists and locals. What else can you say? Kinda reminded me of a "CHEERS" type of place.

Don't miss out on the $5.00 Wed mussel special. Generous portion and the garlic chardonnay sauce with crusty bread was awesome. If you choose the pulled pork sandwich, the sauce is more on the spicy side rather than sweet. Nice place that seemed to be frequented by locals as well as out-of-towners. Went based on TA reviews and was not... More

Just a few blocks away from the Riverside, so it was a good place for a casual dinner. Ate in the bar area. Service was great (Emily). So was the food --- I had the chicken tender salad with cajun dressing, and we shared the carrot cake for dessert. Yummy! Reasonably priced too.

This place is a hoot! Old fashion décor and great food. We had a group for breakfast and everyone was very happy! The egg specialties are wonderful as is the bacon, sausage and breads. Just a fun place with good food.

This place was really good. I ordered cheesy potato and ham soup and bacon avocado melt. Both really good. My husband ordered fried shrimp and chili which he really enjoyed. This place doesn't have a kids menu, so my kids ordered the slider appetizer to share.

We had lunch at the bar, the bartender was very welcoming. I had the hot veggie grilled sandwich with "out of this world" cooked carrots and my husband had the spicy chicken melt with house cut potato chips. We both enjoyed every bite and the local atmosphere too!
