A Classic......

Have eaten here over the years when in town visiting my son at Marquette. Had breakfast at Katies today. Old time lunchnette feel with a bar attached. Breakfast was awesome!

Authentic, 50's-style diner. Very good food. Try the fired cheese curds as an appetizer. Their chocolate shakes are also to die for. Philly cheese steak isn't bad, either. Friendly service. Go for the nostalgic feel, stay for the food. Easily accessed off of I-94, west of central Milwaukee.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Menu can satisfy every appetite - their ribs are wonderful but so if the orange roughy. Blue plate specials, a variety of sandwiches, breakfast items served all day long - homeade soups and daily specials - and a great bar with generous drinks - or malts served in tins. Location is great if... More

After touring Marquette University my daughter and I were starving do we stopped in here for lunch. Were immediately seated at a table and waitress took our drink order. Both of us had cheeseburgers with fries and chocolate shakes--typical diner food. The burgers were dry as a bone and we weren't asked how we wanted them prepared. I guess everyone... More

My spouse and I were part of a large group (Milwaukee Section ASME) of about 40, dining at Miss Katie's as part of the April section meeting, which was preceded by a tour at UWM's Freshwater Institute not far from Walker's Point. The 40 of us were seated at two long tables with seating on both sides and ends. We... More

We used Miss Katies sports shuttle to attend a recent event. When we returned we found a $25 Milwaukee parking ticket. Miss Katies is surrounded by street parting with a two hour limit so beware. In regard to the food, Miss Katies ranks somewhere between average and good. Their food is fairly inexpensive. I think they do breakfast best.

I've been coming to Miss Katie's Diner for close to 10 years. It is by my place of work, so it is a great quick oasis to grab a bite and meet friends and colleagues. I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner and my favorite is lunch. It is a diner so I base my rating on diner food. I've never... More

A friend and I went to Miss Katie's Diner for lunch recently. The place had a charming "old time diner" atmosphere and very friendly service. We both had the pork barbecue sandwich and cole slaw. It was very tasty and reasonably priced as well.

Ordered a simple cheese burger and fries. Bun was burnt, patty was char on the outside rare on the inside fries were over cooked. Cooks were in a hurry to carry on there conversation instead of paying attention to my food.yet they boast about miss oboma stopping by. All said and done the 12.00 dollar would have been off spending... More

I give it a 2. One for being open on New Year's Day and one for charm. We sat at the diner counter/bar. The bloody mary was cold and made from tomato juice. It was barely average in flavor. I've had far better "housemade" bloodys for much less than the $7 this one cost. I ordered the "famous" corned beef... More
