Lunch

Got a sampler and asked bartender to choose. Some were awesome, others meh. But the more beer you try the better your lunch! Had bratwurst, my wife got the bleu cheese potato salad. It was fantastic.

Fun place to stop in to catch a game, and have a beer and a quick bite to eat. Nothing elaborate, but nice enough wait staff and bartenders make for a good experience.

We enjoyed the outside area people watching and have some cocktails and appetizers. Staff was very efficient and engaged with their guests to make it an enjoyable stop in Milwaukee,

This is a nice place and the location is excellent. For some reason, finding the way to enter seemed confusing, but we were able to locate the person who seated us upstairs and we were able to sit outside. I don't really remember the food other than it seemed adequate, but not particularly memorable. The beer was good; they had... More

I enjoyed a tasty burger with Wisconsin cheese while sampling a few of the local beers. The view of the river was a nice backdrop to my lunch.

Came by boat on a weekday. Boat slips were available. Got an outside patio table with a nice view. It was very busy. Service was good. Large menu selection. Food was good. Our group had a brat, a hummus platter and a chicken Caesar salad.

Stopped in at the Ale House this past weekend after attending a Brewers game. It was a beautiful day, so we asked to sit on the deck. Our very friendly waitress, Jordan, brought menus immediately and started helping us decide which beers to order. She has obviously tried everything on the beer AND food menu because she gave us stellar... More

Perfect Wisconsin experience. Great beer, fun atmosphere, really good chicken pot pie. Along River walk. Definitely recommend. Nice cross clientele between barely 21's and yawning 71's.

The Ale House is located right on the river in downtown Milwaukee's historic district. A nice outdoor dining area overlooking the water, as well as docks where you can "drive in" with your boat. Beer is obviously the story here, and the brews (Louie's Demise, the IPA, the stouts) are all excellent. And poured in true pints. For food, I... More

We sat in the bar on a busy Saturday night to watch the Blackhawks play-offs. The service was great, no rushing to order dinner and great conversation with the server who was also a Blackhawk fan. Lots of TV's to watch games and a varied brew list. Highly recommend for a fun, easy and casual night out.
