Step back to authentic grandmother Serbian Americana

Three Brothers has been an annual celebration meal location for my extended family for many years. The staff have unfailingly been prompt, courteous and attentive, regardless of how busy this small and intimate space can get. Tips: for bourek, order ahead. The menu also features solid farm food from the old country such as whole roasted suckling pig, goose, duck...... More

We came here with friends after finding it on the internet. My grandmother was eastern european and immigrated here in 1917. The food was very authentic, just like my grandmother cooked. Very delicious. The dining room was small and crowded but there were plenty of waitstaff to make everything perfect. I felt like I was on a European vacation.

NOTE: No credit cards. The building is an old Milwaukee neighborhood bar. If you want quiet, secluded upscale dining, this is not the place for you. And the salad is just simple lettuce - I don't know if that is "traditional" Serbian or not. But the food is amazing. Family owned and operated, friendly folks.

A first time visit to the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Small and informal dining area, but a great menu and delicious food. We each tried one another's selection and loved them all. Great prices and attentive servers. We will go back again. Go early as it gets crowded later.

A very quaint out of way location...a throw back in time Serbian restaurant. Limited seating, so reservations a must. Order the burek, sauteed chicken livers, a double order of the Serbian salad, stuffed veal pocket....but any of the entrees are great, delicious, and always fresh. Wine selection poor....deserts great. Seating is right out the 30's, wooden chairs, etc. Servers are usually... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. The atmosphere is quaint and the food delicious. Tonight a friend and I shared the savory crepe appetizer special and I had the stuffed zucchini. You can't get food like this in chain restaurants.

My husband and I have lived in the Bay View area for 20 years, we've had De Marinis pizza over and over again, so how is it Three Brothers was just around the corner and "we never knew!" We were looking for something new for date night and found it on trip advisor. I called ahead and ordered the spinach... More

One of the things you need to know is that it is cash or check only - so be prepared! My husband and I ordered burek, a flakey pastry with meat and cheese and sarma. The burek takes a long time to cook (45 min) but it is worth the wait. I was apprehensive about the pickled cabbage in the... More

Awesome restaurant with history. Food was great and service was also. The waitress was more than willing to help us find fun things to do in town.
