Sweet little bistro in the 3rd Ward district. Several rooms of tables with white linen and authentic French atmosphere. The view isnt spectacular (snowboard store opposite the window seats in a big ugly buildiing) but the food and drinks are the main attraction. Our server Allison was well informed and charming, explaining the St Germain Cocktail and Opera Cake (both... More

Everyone found something they enjoyed from flatbreads and sandwiches for the kids to snails and main course meals for the adults. Would have rated higher but quiche, cheese platter (chutney was yech and I am usually a fan), and pork roast items were just so-so. Soup, sandwiches, flammekeuche flatbread and short ribs were excellent as well as the pumpkin spaetzle... More

We have eaten lunch at Coquette Cafe on several occasions over the past several years, often following a visit to the nearby Milwaukee Art Museum. Each visit has been everything one could hope for -- prompt seating (we had reservations), excellent service (water and bread almost immediately upon seating, menus almost immediately), a fine selection of lunch options and specials,... We had dinner here on a recent trip to Milwaukee and really enjoyed this restaurant. Our server was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely and the noise level is muted. The food was fantastic - I had the best coq au vin and my wife had an excellent salmon dinner. The Ceasar salad lacked zest and was the only... More

Here for lunch with my wife and daughter, I got the onion soup and a house salad. The soup was very tasty, and the salad was simple greens tossed in a creamy vinaigrette. My wife had the omelette, which tasted good. Our daughter had a Caesar salad, which she liked better than the Caesar at the Capital Grille. Our excellent... More

The Coquette Café is in Milwaukee's "Third Ward", which used to be a fruit/vegetable district. The café has a feel of being on a Parisian street. Both times I went, I had the veal meatloaf. Very well done, good portions and prompt attentive service. You cannot have a bad meal here. The restaurant is either still owned by or used... More

Beautiful old building in the Third Ward, dark wood, white tablecloths - not a place where I expected to have an economical lunch but it was. It was also delicious and the service was gracious and attentive. So glad I found it and I hope to go back for dinner the next time I'm in Milwaukee.

I have been here for HH on Monday and Tuesday nights. HH ends at 6pm. Monday they feature $5 Angus Burgers / Tuesday - $5 French Onion Soup ------ both are very good. They have other HH specials also --- you can find details on their website.

Just wonderful! Live in Chicago and used to great restaurants and this one is right up there. Décor was nice, but the food was out of this world, there was 12 of us and was waited on by 1 waitress that did an excellent job and she had other tables besides. we all had different dishes and the were all... This French bistro has a truly spectacular menu. It is well decorated but not pretentious. Our waitress, Linsey, was excellent. Well experienced, helpful and caring. Many of the diners appear to be from Milwaukee. Again the menu was tops, but somewhere back in the kitchen a Sauce Chef thought coq-au-vin required a heavy gravy and also put it on a... More
