Great food and close to excellent

The food, service, and value were very close to excellent. I am very particular on giving an excellent rating and they were very close. My main fault is the use of salt and the soup du jour was not too imaginative. The soup initially reminded me of Campbell's bean and then it did open up. The... read more

I was part of a Food Tour and we ate dessert here. The dessert was great and the coffee exceptional. The owner came to the table and told us the history of the building. I would love to have an entire meal here!!

This was my first visit here under the new ownership. We started with the cheese platter and champagne which was excellent. I had the beet salad and shared it. Very good. Our waiter was professional, friendly and efficient! But, unfortunately, the main courses were only average. My roasted chicken was okay but they put on some type of barbeque sauce... More

We were going to MKE to hear the MSO and meet with some friends. They wanted to eat French; I"ve never done that. So I contacted a local buddy of mine who recommended Cafe Coquette. It is close to down town; it has lots of parking. It is both large and intimate; the staff was extremely helpful and the food... More

Even though the ownership has changed, the food is till excellent. They aim to please. I ordered a beet salad with outstanding rare salmon with dressing on the side. It arrived exactly as requested. my husband enjoyed a meal from his youth with the veal goulash.

I met some friends at Coquette for happy hour. Who would have thought that a French restaurant would have a great sangria. The gorgeous blond server named Liz suggested it for our party of three. The furry manager dude, took the time to tell us how the Sangria was made. The Italian bartender was very attentive and took the time... More

CC is a stable, well managed restaurant with an extensive AmericanFrench menu that will satisfy almost anyone. The staff is quite friendly, and service is very good. All of the food we have ordered has been very good, served in timely fashion and generous in amount--I especially like the soup/quiche offering at lunch. There are several booths at the front... Over the last 6-8 months I have the pleasure of dining about once a months at Coquette Cafe, a restaurant serving dinner nightly as well as weekend brunch and lunch some week days. After years on the Milwaukee dining scene, Coquette seems to have a trove of loyals in the dining room as well continuing to attract those of us... More

we love this place and when we are in Milwaukee and get a chance we stop by for brunch. Today did not disappoint. The menu is different, not run of the mill, today's french toast and quiche were both excellent, great service and atmosphere, will go again.

Sweet little bistro in the 3rd Ward district. Several rooms of tables with white linen and authentic French atmosphere. The view isnt spectacular (snowboard store opposite the window seats in a big ugly buildiing) but the food and drinks are the main attraction. Our server Allison was well informed and charming, explaining the St Germain Cocktail and Opera Cake (both... More
