Paris in the Third Ward!

We were up to visit or son at Marquette and had the most wonderful evening here. Amazing French onion soup, escargots, duck confit and hanger steak. Great service, wonderful ambiance and an outstanding creme brûlée

We went for Sunday brunch with about 10 other people - we had made a reservation months in advance so they knew were were coming and with how many -- and service was terribly slow. Perhaps it was management's fault for giving us only one waitress. It was a long wait for drinks, an even longer wait for our food... More

The service was excellent as was the atmosphere. Everything felt French and not at all snobby. Everyone ordered different sandwiches and each was better than the last. We all split a soup of the day and that was well worth it. My favorite may have been the fresh squeezed lemonade, so refreshing.

Coquette Cafe is probably my favorite go-to Milwaukee restaurant. The food and service is very consistent. The food is excellent, French bistro type menu. The service is also very attentive. Most of all, I love the atmosphere. It is calm, and classy, you can count on this restaurant for out of town guests. You can have a conversation with your... More

Awesome waiters, lovely setting with good music. Specialty drinks as well as extensive wine list, great food choices that you can check out online along with specials.

Think of Lake Michigan Trout, served in a brown butter sauce with lemon and almonds. Impeccable service from an excellent wait staff. Excellent and very different cashew nut dessert......................Yes, I used excellent twice, because it was!

Previous visits were fine, couldnt have asked for better. This time was a fail. How hard is it to offer a medium burger with crisp slaw and icy cold firm sorbet? Impossible apparently. Everything was "off": the meat was cold and red inside, the slaw was from some previous day and was watery and limp. Sorbet was served in a... More

The wait staff are fantastic! some of the best service I've had. And the setting is delightful The beet salad was excellent but the rest was a huge disappointment. The trout was swimming in a brown butter sauce that was acidic and had an almost burnt like taste. I picked the trout meat out and it was edible but not... More

One of our favorite places for a nice, relaxed dining expereince. The menu is somewhat limited and hasn't changed in the past several years but their monthly tour menu makes up for that. We typically try the travel menu - some have been better than others. This month it's Mexican. The main course - chicken - was somewhat bland lacking... More
