Probably the BEST dining we have ever experienced!!!

Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Sanford and EVERYTHING was wonderful. Loved the simple, single lily in vase on white tablecloth. The homemade breadsticks were delicious. Rhubarb tonic and Punch (forgot the name)type cocktail were excellent. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful, wine list is... read more

Dined here for a Graduation Celebration with family. Very unassuming location and exterior. Warm friendly knowledgeable staff. We had the chefs surprise 7 course dinner. Everything was well prepared and delicious. Many little surprises along the way. Every course was not necessarily to everyone's liking but then we did experience many new tastes along the way. Highly recommend for special... More

My title says it all, it was perfect. I can not wait to return. We were not the perfect guests, yet we were treated like we were. We had no reservations, had just completed a brewery tour that included four beers each, we were all dressed in jeans AND we were under a time crunch because we had a plane... More

Not normally a fine dinning kind of woman, but went with family and loved our experience. Low key, great food, outstanding service.

First you have to know I can be picky and criitcal. I also like to bring attention to a restaurant that really stands out and deserves a giant Kudo. I recently realized that I never reviewed this fabulous and unique establishment. It was after my pretty terrible and pricey dinner at le Bernadin in NYC that I thought "wow, Stanford... More

Definitely fit for foodies but anyone desiring an elegant location and great food will appreciate this restaurant. This place could easily be in New York or Philadelphia (the 2 cities where we eat most). If I ever had a reason to go back to Milwaukee, I would eat here!

If you are a foodie that appreciates the best in service, along with above average food and a great wine selection, spend an evening here with a special person. We ordered every course, a different selection for each and traded plates after we ate half. The best way to have an entertaining evening. The decor is elegant, reminded me of a... More

Sanford Restaurant is a reason to visit Milwaukee. Excellent service, a fine wine list and well-prepared food. Every visit to the city should include a stop for dinner. Hidden away in a residential neighborhood, it is just minutes north of downtown. Be sure to leave room for incredible desserts.

This was my husband and my first time dining at Sanford and we could not be more satisfied with our experience. Chef Justin's seven course surprise tasting menu with wine pairing was truly a sophisticated, creative, and incredible meal! And, the level of service equally matches the atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back to experience this wonderful Milwaukee restaurant!

The menu is quite varied but each course is truly amazing. Salads are complex and flavorful. Entrees are a true internationally inspired event. Dessert is always amazing. Great for special events.
