I went to this restaurant with my friend, Barb, sister, Chris, and her daughter, Sarah. All the ingredients are fresh and the menu changes frequently. I had a celery soup with mushrooms to start and had chicken breast for my main course. Both dished were excellent. The chicken was perfectly done, on a bed of spinach with herb cheese and... More

Outstanding star in the Milwaukee locavore movement. The atmosphere was great. The spicing imaginative. If you want to talk to your companions you might prefer a table in the bar area. The back room is loud even when half full. What was that amazing dessert?

I think we ate the menu and something's twice. The bar in front of the kitchen is hot ,but fun. We were a table of six and it made it difficult to talk. I would say 4 max. The food was excellent, I would like to see some red meat dishes the next time we go, which should be in... More

You're going to want to make a reservation and yeah a complete dinner for two is going to run you $90-$100 but Braise is worth it! They have a really nice front bar, a decent size dining area with long, family style dining but if you are in the mood for a unique experience, you're going to want to sit... More

We heard about this place and stopped by for a late drink/food after seeing a play in the theater. The service was great and regardless of late hours we had the most delicious appetizers and desert. They were definitely not something you would find anywhere else and we decided that we definitely will be back for a fool dinner to... More

Two of us made late reservations, only opening was at back table/bar, facing the kitchen. Was fun to watch the crew, altho your back is to the rest of dining room. Two of us shared sevl small plates: Steamed pork buns , chorizo w carmelized onion, and a short rib Ragu. These were all tasty, $8-9 ea, and enuff for... More

Our service was phenomenal and our waiter very gracious. We spent 3 luxurious hours sipping wine and cocktails and eating literally three quarters of the menu and never once did our waiter make us feel rushed. We even asked him if we should move to bar or lounge to accommodate more diners for him. I loved everything we ate and... More

We loved our dinner at Braise. Great cocktails, great wine list with many $30 bottles. My husband had steamed pork buns that were rich with crispy porky flavor. I had the most amazing chicken breast, with brown crispy skin and uniformly moist, well flavored meat. Turns out they sous vide it before roasting. It was served with spinach and the... More

I have been to braise 3 times. The first, I was impressed. But we only had 2 items. The next few times, terribly bored and confused. The menu reads great, then you get your food and you wonder where all the flavor went. Everyone i dined with all that dumbfounded look on their face, like...something doesn't taste right. I think... I had one of my best dinners in years at Braise last night. The The various flavors in the dishes complimented each other so well. We started by sharing an appetizer of steamed pork rolls, which they increased to 3 rolls so that there would be one for each member of our party. These were unlike any other steamed pork... More
