Delicious hamburger

Went in on Saturday night around 10:30 pm as they do serve until 11:00 pm. Walking in and there was no hostess, everybody looking busy. Finally a bartender came over to give get us a seat. Waitress seemed new or uneducated on the menu. Bartender very informative and knew his drinks and everything... read more

We went to Distil for first time during Milwaukee's Downtown Dining Week. What a find! We'll definitely be back. This is a beautiful restaurant/bar - like the vibe there. Both our food and waitress were outstanding. We both had the Classic Old-Fashioned - very good.

We had four cocktails here. An old fashioned, gin and tonic, Hemingway daiquiri, and the sparkling. The sparking had cava with juice and rum and a fruit peel. It was fantastic. The Hemingway daiquiri was simply lime juice, rum, and luxardo. Everything tastes good with luxardo. For the gin and tonic they had several assortments of gin and I tried... More

This eatery was near our hotel and after travel we needed a good stiff drink and supper/snacks before retiring. This was the right place. The mixologist here is excellent and we enjoyed the cocktails we ordered. Before retiring we ordered the local cheese tray along with sliced salamis that were from San Francisco. A shout out to our stellar waitress... More

We had dinner here on a Friday evening. The only downside was difficulty finding the place (their door is barely marked). I enjoyed their cocktail menu, which featured drinks I like but often have to special order. They did a magnificent job with the my sazerac. Beer and wine selection was respectable. Much of the menu is tapas. We ordered... More

Although Distl serves great food, the menu isn't extensive. It is at its best as a high end bar before or after dinner. If you are still hungry after dinner or just can't wait for dinner, stop at Distil. The drink list is the best of the city. Milwaukee is a drinking town best known for beer. Distil, however, has... Good service except our "mixologist apprentice" (?) had no clue as i watched a "senior mixologist" painstakingly show him how to make our special drink. When it was finally done, the martini glass was only half full and the drink was luke warm. And that was 14 bucks. I like my Martinis full and icy. Food was creative and very... More

The place is so seductive and the drinks are made with care. Do yourself a favor and go on a Friday evening to hear love music then be sure to order the Moscow Mule which is served in an ice cold copper drinking cup and packs a kick! In the mood for a bite? Distil has you covered from cheese... More
