Even Gluten Free was great!

I had heard about Transfer for years, but never stopped in. This year, however, a coworker gave me City Tins for Christmas, so we decided to check it out. I am so glad I did. We had one regular pizza and one gluten free and both were fabulous. They even go out of their way for gluten free... read more

Service was great. Atmosphere was quirky but cool. We enjoyed their pizza. Parking isn't the easiest around there.

When Via on Downer closed, we knew that Transfer had the pizza we liked, so gave it a try. Great idea. The triangular building, an old pharmacy with the leaded glass windows still intact, is worth the visit -- and the food is good. Salad also OK; we've not tried other menu items. Wine so-so, but you don't go here... More

Had pizza there recently. It is a nice place overall but the pizza is average. We order veggies and it was mostly crust and not enough veggies.

I met some former co-workers for lunch at Transfer Pizzeria Café today. It is located on 1st and Mitchell Street near where Kinnickinnic and 1st Street intersects. The restaurant is in an older building, on the southwest corner of the intersection and walking in, a person my age could tell the building used to be a pharmacy, later turned into... More

First time here. Ordered the SMO. Sausage mushroom and onion. Pizza crust was done well but really not a lot a lot of flavor in either the sauce or the Italian sausage. No bad tastes just bland. Tomato sauce was weak.and lacking any herbs and sausage seasoning was weak as well.

My husband and I split the Garlic Sauce and Mozzarella pizza and the Paisano. Both were excellent. The pizza crust is so yummy I could eat it plain! Love the pizza here. We've never been disappointed!!

Went to Transfer Pizzeria, got there early (5:30 p.m.) because on a Friday night it's SRO. Parking was a bit of a drag, especially having to walk a bit in February, but it was worth it. Mischa was our server. A big, burly, happy bearded ginger who gave us exceptional service. We had the Bob's Special with additional anchovies and... More

We went here on a Wednesday evening, and it was surprisingly busy! Nevertheless, we received excellent service from the moment we walked in the door. The atmosphere is really unique, and it is really awesome how they keep the history of the building alive. They even include a snipet of the history of the building on the back of their... More

I visited Transfer on a Saturday night, we got there just in time and got the last open table. It is fairly small, so people really crowd into the small waiting area - so much so it's difficult to squeeze out the door! The food was excellent. We had the smoked salmon bruschetta for the appetizer - it was excellent.... More
