A "Must Stop" every time we are in Milwaukee!

We first heard about Sobelman's from Travel Channel's "Food Wars" and knew we would be going soon. The first time in Milwaukee we gave "the other guy" a try first. The next day we tried Sobelman's, and let's just say, don't believe everything you see on TV. We go to Milwaukee every year, and this... read more

Great sandwiches, perfect service and a Bloody Mary that can't be beat. Friendly place. Not vey large so it does get crowded.

I recently arranged a group luncheon here. We had a group of 11 people, and were advised to arrive early so that we could get seating away from the main bar area, where it would be quieter. The staff was very accomodating when we arrived, and quickly set up the table for our group. Even though we were away from... More

The staff was very friendly and prompt in service . The Bloody Mary I got called the Masterpiece had a hamburger, shrimp, sausage , co-jack cheese, pickled brussel sprout, asparagus , tomato, olive , and celery with a beer chaser for only $10 . It was a meal in itself My friends got a hamburger that had a very soft... More

Sobelman's is a fantastic burger place - so took an out of town guest, it delivered! Exceptional food items like bacon wrapped jalapeno cheese balls. Solid drinks [ the Bloody Mary’s are overpriced unless you want to drink a work of art.] Good fries and a fantastic burger. The burger has some of each flavor in each bite - not... More

Being originally from Milwaukee, I have had many Bloody Mary's in my day. I have to admit, the presentation of the drink is impressive, but the mix itself was lacking. More of a tourist thing than a Traditional Milwaukee drinking establishment. Would not return, was not impressed. Just being truthful

Yes, it's the home of the $50 Bloody Mary and it's worth every penny! You get a whole chicken for crying out loud! We also had several beers and burger, all top notch. It's a come as you are type of place where everyone fits in. Nothing fancy but a true Milwaukee classic!

This was my first time at Sobelmans and I was quite impressed. The only thing holding it back from getting a 5 is the water damaged ceiling behind the bar. Also the rug around the urinal seemed wet and made my shoes smell like piss. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. My water was never empty. I had... More

I wanted somewhere to eat before the ball game at Miller Park. We had explored downtown and nothing looked attractive. But my friend said his aunt was a fussy eater and recommended Soblemans. I must say that I was not sure when I was driving to the place at it was a street full of old brick factories and empty... More

Bloody Mary's, burgers, fried food and Spotted Cow. Sat at the bar, friendly and helpful with the selection. Everything we had was good as was the service. Classic bar and grill I loved the campus atmosphere.
