This I believe is one of Milwaukee's hidden secrets. My kids, wife and friends all just love this quiet intimate cozy little place. Beside a great atmosphere, the food is great. The staff is friendly knowledgeable, and efficient. We have been here for brunch. lunch and dinners and never disappointed. My sons swear by the place as their go to... More

We were on our last vacation night in Milwaukee and had agreed earlier in the day that we wanted to have a special meal. We asked the bartender at the County Clare, where we were staying, if she could recommend something nice in the neighborhood. She immediately suggested Buckley's as a place she had recently discovered and liked a lot.... More

I was in Milwaukee staying downtown on business and the friendly hotel bartender recommended Buckley's for our weeknight meal. Really solid place. We ordered the Truffled Fried Artichokes and Cheese Plate to share for appetizers. Artichokes were sublime ... perfectly crisped by the truffle oil and oh so delicious! And you really can't go wrong with a cheese plate ...... More

I loved this place inside. Intimate, but not sitting on top of one another. We ended up ordering a bunch of appetizers to share for dinner. They were good, but I think we should have ordered the lobster roll. A few people ordered that and a friend of ours said they thought that was the best thing on their menu.

First time costumer. Came with family who had eaten here before. Arrived at 1:30pm for lunch. Place was packed. It had just been in the local paper as one of Milwaukee's 30 top restaurants. The have some unusual items…grilled octopus and wild boar to name only two. I'm more conservative and went with their corn beef sandwich, $10. The Guinness... More

Stopped for a late lunch so not so crowded. Tow had salads and they said they were good. I had the Mortadella sandwich and I like it. Was apprehensive to order, but was glad I did. I was really hungry and could not finish it. Service was a bit slow, but OK.

Buckley's was my second stop on a recent rainy-day bar crawl. The place is more of a bistro than a bar, but the theme of my tour was decor and Buckley's appearance intrigued me. Buckley's is located in a 19th-century Italianate townhouse and there's a mural on the outside of the building that caught my eye. Whimsical, slightly surreal and... More

Visiting Milwaukee last week with my husband, sister and brother-in-law, relaxed few days, no plans no timetables, on a walk from our hotel to the waterfront discovered Buckley's and decided to have dinner there. What a treat, great wine list, and menu. The guys had one of their specials, grilled guinea hen, or maybe it was squab, regardless it was... More

We were in Milwaukee for almost a week and walked past this restaurant a number of times. It was always busy and everyone seemed to be having a great time. So we gave it a try and were very pleased we did. We had the Roast Cauliflower and Truffled Fried Artichoke appetisers, the Chicken Saltimbocca and Pasta with Wild Boar... More
