We love our little neighborhood spot and enjoy a meal here a number of times each year. It's a family run restaurant with a small but great menu of seasonal dishes. In addition to Cafe at the Plaza down the street it's slightly off the tourist path and can easily be missed. Generally populated by locals you'll need to get... More

Stayed at the Plaza and walked down to Buckley's, an easy two blocks. It is surprising small, but the entire staff works hard and makes it work. Food and drinks were good. Only one small problem. The brussel sprouts were fantastic but waaaaay to salty. Still, we ate them all. We don't go out as much as we used to!... More

Intimate, pleasant, classy. Wonderful, delicious and elegant food. Service is great--not too friendly not too stuffy. Desserts are the best in town. Outdoor seating is great (of course when it's not WINTER!!!)

My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant several times for dinner and lunch. It is the go-to place to take a client or a special friend. Our last visit was the week befrore Valentine's Day. We wanted to have a romantic dinner before the big rush. We made an early reservation--5:30. Our wait person was wonderful. She was... More

Buckley's was my first foray into Milwaukee upscale dining...and my honest opinion is that is was just ok. The restaurant is very small which makes it a bit awkward to wait if there is no room at the bar. Being winter, I would have expected someone to take my bulky coat but no such graces were offered. We tried a... More

Love the environment! We had a luncheon for four and sat in the window section overlooking the activity on Cass St. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the setting perfect for friendly conversation. I would rate Buckley's as a great place for a friendly luncheon.

A few months ago I wrote about a wonderful lunch and left with the feeling that this would be a great spot for dinner. This weekend 4 of us did just that. This is a classy, intimate family owned restaurant that should be on everyone's bucket list. It is not cheap, nor is it outrageous for its quality. One feels... More

We'd been here for dinner before...yes, I would call it a foodie favorite. We were out on kind of a nasty afternoon when we decided to stop for a drink at the bar. This is just a little place, but lots of eclectic character. We chose to have just a couple of appetizers; even they were delicious! The food is... More

I have been to Buckley's for casual weeknight dinners on 2 different occasions. Both were very good experiences with service, food, drinks, and atmosphere. Favorite appetizer: grilled octopus. Favorite entrees: halibut and wild boar ragu. Favorite cocktail: Hoppy Ending. I would recommend Buckley's for dinner with a friend, significant other, or a small business dinner.

I love this restaurant - the size and ambience, the wait staff and the food are all five star. The lobster rolls are amazing!!! It's a small, intimate restaurant downtown with easy parking.
