Great meals

We decided to get a good breakfast before heading out of town to go hiking. The diner is really fun looking from the outside and has great decor on the inside as well. They were busy but we were seated and brought drinks right away. We ordered our meals and the food arrived pretty quick. Our... read more

I just love Hubbard Avenue Diner! The food is always good and the menu offerings are many and varied! Vegetarians to carnivores have good selections from which to choose. Although if you plan to have breakfast there on a weekend, be prepared for a long wait...but it's worth it!

Our server was awesome... I asked for a gigantic diet coke so she brought me two to start. The food that we ordered was great and we liked everything so much that we had to top it off with pie. Afterwards, make sure to hit up the National Mustard Museum!

I always go to Hubbards thinking I'm going to be thrilled and it always falls short. Prices are a little higher, but the fresh ingredients should compensate for that. The food, thought, this night was just okay. Got turkey dinner and got a good sized portion of turkey, about 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes and some vegetables. Best part of... More

This is a good place for a quick bite to eat. The menu has stayed the same since they opened several years ago----a comforting thing when most restaurants feel the need to always change things up after a while. After living in Madison for many years, we recently returned for a brief visit and went to Hubbard Avenue Diner with... More

Good down home food. If you are craving meatloaf, fried chicken or pie, this is your place. They are known for their pies and offer a large selection.

Breakfast with my 12-year-old today was a real treat at the Hubbard Avenue diner. Inside is 1950s style diner but modern and clean. Food and beverages are served on glass dishes and cups. Water is in the standard restaurant plastic red cup. I had potato pancakes with sour cream and warm apple sauce it was fantastic. I even asked for... More

Hubbard Ave Diner offers wonderful comfort foods specializing in PIE PIE and more PIE. No matter your diet, do try the PIE. I ate there on 2 occasions--breakfast and early dinner. Food is excellent as is the service. Right next door to the Mustard Museum.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting The National Mustard Museum (located right next door to the diner). The food was great, and I liked pie for the first time in my life. Grab a slice of the Cookie Dough Pie and check out the staff's awesome punny shirts. Awesome road trip stop for the Quirky Traveler!

There's a good reason Hubbard Ave. Diner is really popular among locals. The breakfast, breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings are a significant step up from a typical diner. Unless you're early, you might have a short wait for a table on weekends but it's worth it. The menu offers satisfying options for virtually everyone. Service and preparation of dishes is... More
