We went here for an anniversary dinner. I was a little worried when we walked in. The carpet on the stairs is threadbare and stained, and the decor consists of poorly hung posters. Don't let this fool you, the food and service are fantastic. This was definitely one of the best dinners I've had in the Madison area. I will... More

For my family, it can get a little routine when going to restaurants. There are the typical Mexican, Chinese, Italian, American, etc. places that we frequent. But Louisianne's offers a nice change to that routine. To top it off, the setting is good and the food is great. Recently my wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We had... More

This was our first dining experience here, after numerous friends suggested we go. As others have mentioned, the restaurant is located down a flight of stairs with a small platform at the bottom. The stairs have a sturdy bannister on both sides, which is a great help for handicapped patrons. I am handicapped, and was delighted to see it. The... More

Awesome creole cooking and for the less adventurous there are normal items on the menu. Always great food and great service!

Went with some friends. Neat decor, in basement. Very New Orleans style. The salad that came with the entree was nice and there were a choice of homemade salad dressings, one of which was a real raspberry vinegrette which had read chunks of raspberries in it; and I had a cajun style dressing which was very very good. I ordered... More

Louisianne's in Middleton is hidden down a flight of stairs on a side street across from the more well known Hubbard St Dinner. Seek it out and don't miss it. The food is excellent, the service is superb and the weekend music sets the perfect mood.

First time here and we all had a fabulous experience. Nice wine list variety in prices and selection. Pulled pork crepes to start that were different and had great flavor. My wife had red snapper special that was moist and flavorful. I had crawfish etouffe that I loved. Companion had jambalaya that she thought was very good. It's in a... More

Excellence is their first name, consistency their middle name, and top-notch is their last name! Very popular with the locals!

This is our 'go to' place in the Middleton area. I love the ambiance - it is in the 'basement', with stone walls and low lighting. The service is very good, and the food is excellent. There is often a jazz pianist which is a delightful addition. It is a bit small and the seating is tight, but this is... More

I saw the high ratings and thought this would be a great place to visit before Fat Tuesday. To start, our waiter had a bit of an attitude and I didn't enjoy his rude comments throughout our meal. Otherwise, every meal was on the expensive side for the quality. We ordered crab puffs which were amazing (best part of the... More
