Food is really great here. Nice, cozy little restaurant on the corner in an older Middleton building. There is some outside seating on bistro tables in the summer. Good service and food is a good value for what you get.

Villa Dolce in Middleton is easy to overlook, but it shouldn't be missed. The food and drinks are great. The service can't be beat, and the atmosphere is good.

Cute, cozy, friendly staff (except I think the guy who owns the place was there and he wasn't friendly nor looked like he was enjoying himself.) The pizza is to die for, and no, it's not cheap, but the quality is well worth it. For those one-time visitors who had a bad experience...go back!

A friend was visiting and decided last minute he wanted Italian. It was a Friday. A football weekend Friday. I was hungry already and would get extremely crabby if I had to wait. We got a reservation through Open Table, I was amazed. And when we got there, right on time, we were instantly seated. Don't be afraid, try it.... More

Why would one choose to dine in Middleton at Villa Dolce instead of venturing in to Madison? A Badger home game is the reason we did so...and what a mistake. Made reservations at 7 pm and due to traffic, we arrived at 7:06 and was promptly scolded by the hostess/owner that we were "lucky" that we arrived when we did... More

My husband and I went on a Wednesday where they have half off certain bottles of wine, had a cab and it was great...I had the wild mushroom ravioli and my husband had the beef bolognese, which he asked to substitute angel hair pasta for the papperdelle. We loved both dishes and also had a goat cheese bruschetta for an... More

I'm a big fan of pizza + I'm a big fan of dessert = I'm a big fan of Villa Dolce. This is my favorite cafe in the Madison area. It's got pretty neat decor and an alluring color scheme. My favorite time to go to Villa Dolce is during lunch, where they serve the "pizzette", your own personal pizza... More

The food here was quite nice, and the service was excellent. They also have great variety of specialty pizzas to choose from in addition to nice dinners; the salad we had was also awesome. The atmosphere is quaint, and very appropriate to a nice local in town restaurant. I had the beef bolgonese and it was excellent, and my wife... More

This is a regular place for us for dinner with friends. It's small and intimate; reminds me of a big city bistro. Their salmon is excellent, and I like their sausage with small pasta and red sauce. Good bar service, too.

Great place, great food and great service. We have been here for dinner three times and each has met our expectations or exceeded them. The last experience allowed us to dine outside on a very peaceful front porch. Our server was Ginny and she really made sure the evening was pleasant for us. Food was wonderful as always.
