We visited this diner on a Sunday lunch (pre-book to avoid disappointment) and I have to say it was absolutely superb! I had the cheeseburger, the wife had the beenburger and the lil un had a cheeseburger. The portions are VERY generous so you really get your moneys worth! We also had 2 strawberry milkshakes (between us) and they were... More

We enjoyed the theme of the restaurant, the shakes are really good but the food was just average, it wasnt expensive so cant complain. we would go again at some point to give it another go.

Having dined here several times, I can say I am a fan. The multitude of soft drinks, milkshake flavours, burgers and hot dogs never fail to take me aback, and the food is almost without exception very good. The only fault I can find is that the food does cost more than you'd expect, and you MUST book a table,... More

Good morning, thankyou so much for your very kind review and continued support. We do advise booking a booth,as im sure you know we are extremely busy and hate to disappoint by turning people away .as you can imagine the upkeep of such an old building( she was built in 1950 in Elizabeth New Jersey by the Jerry O Mahoney Dining... We wanted to do eat somewhere a little different for the last day of the school summer holidays, what more can be said than driving to this American diner in Derby. The minute you pull up to the Sleek Silver diner you know that you going to have a wonderful experience . Opening the doors was like stepping in time... More

My wife and I ate there three times inside a week - you can draw your own conclusions from that. It's an eating experience like no other, particularly if you're a sucker for 40s and 50s Americana (as I am). Don't over order, though, or you might not eat it all. I'd recommend Naked Dog with a cool drink, followed... More

Thankyou Andrew for your glowing review .Its always a pleasure to speak with enthusiastic ,like minded people ,who understand the history and uniqueness of the Diner and value its history and ephemera as much as we do. Absolutely excellent service and food, a real gem! Not the easiest place to find as unexpected location but worth it when you get there! Could easily reduce their portions of fries by half! Will be back!

Just like hopping over the Atlantic! A very different dinning experience! Best to book as it was busy. Food was good. I wouldn't say excellent but I'm very picky. Good portions and value for money. Steak was cooked well, nice fries, coke in proper bottles. Brilliant atmosphere so we enjoyed our meal.

Just had a fantastic meal here. There was a great selection to choose from for adults and kids alike. I had an Italian hotdog and my husband had chilli burger and the boys had hotdog and chicken nuggets. The food was well cooked, hot and really good portion size. We all had puddings (really tasty pecan pie and thick malt... More

We had a great meal here last Sunday. Wonderful atmosphere, music, waitresses dresses all in keeping with the diner. The first time we went we drove past it twice before we realised we had arrived! The staff are very helpful and gave my daughter a sample of the cheese sauce before she placed her order. The portion sizes are huge... More
