"All you can eat" Fish Fry is Not unlimited. We all ordered the Friday night fish fry. After a 45 minute wait, Only 4 small pieces --cold-- were initially served to each of us. One of us ordered the Perch and at the time it was listed alongside the Cod. We confirmed with our waitress that it too was all... More

Didn't quite understand why this restaurant had so few diners. We got in, ordered and were served promptly since we were the only diners in the place for the first 20 minutes or so. Made us feel sad. This place has a beautiful view of Lake Geneva and the food was very good. We had the Salmon Benedict and Swedish... More

We have been going to Scuttlebutts with family and friends for over 20years. It seems the "word on the street" says Scuttlebutts has been sold and will close after the Christmas/New Years holidays. So there is not much point to this review unless you are going to go in the next 3 weeks, which I would encourage you to do.... More

Was told that this place had a very good fishfry, so my wife and I gave it a try mid November. We were not disappointed. The potato pancakes were the finest my wife and I ever had, the fish was served hot and not greasy, and the cole slaw was creamy and mildly sweet. The served sliced bread was standard... More

We had the corner table with a nice view of the quiet beach and lakefront. This time of year is rather surreal in Lake Geneva. I had the Greek Omelet and the Swedish pancakes. Both were fantastic. The Greek Omelet had enough feta and I am a fiend for feta. The texture was light and fluffy, one of the better... More

The restaurant is changing hands and it's name in late December 2014. SO SORRY to see the menu change!!! I LOVED their Soup & Salad Bar that they DID NOT BRING BACK AFTER OCTOBERFEST this year. I love their signature Cheese Potato Soup. The VIEW IS GREAT; BUT THE staff and owner were bad. THIS PLACE WAS A CLASSY CAFE... More

This lakefront eatery is a mainstay in Lake Geneva, reliably providing good food and an amazing lake view. We were last there for their Friday fish fry. We got a combo of broiled and fried cod, french fries and potato pancakes. It was delicious as always. Natives know that this locally owned restaurant consistently delivers a delightful dining experience. It's... More

We had a wonderful table in the corner next to the front window, My husband ordered pancakes and I had the two eggs hash brown, bacon. Food was hot. Was only a little disappointed that the scrambled eggs were more like those served at a restaurant buffet, that being they were a egg mix. They came with a layer of... More

Went for lunch, midweek, early October. Not too crowded. Bloody Mary was pretty good with lots of garnish. Beer chaser just ok; not sure what kind of beer. Food just average. Not much flavor in the chicken salad. We were on a getaway and could have maybe stayed for another drink, but the waitress brought the check before we were... More
