We went to Lake Geneva for the very first time on a Sunday. The first thing we did as soon as we got to the Lake was go to brunch at the Baker House - WOW!!! It was incredible. As soon as we got there, we were given a tour and the option of wearing an old timey hat of... More

This must have been some residence once upon a time. There are several rooms where food is laid out for the breakfast buffet. The food was excellent overall. When you walk in, you choose a hat from the wall. You wear it to dine in and then return it to the wall. It is the owner's nod to a time... More

Had to write a review of our wonderful brunch at Baker House. We had heard that they had a terrific brunch, but it exceeded our expectations. The house itself is terrific and the staff is unbelievably attentive. We start with the tour and then go to our table. The coffee and champagne begins to flow as our server, Mike suggests... More

Try to be there for sunset over Lake Geneva. We loved having a piano player/singer. Be sure to tour the house and garden.

A wonderful old mansion with over 200 period style hats to wear while dining! The food is fantastic!! Right across from the lake.. the front porch and room with the mirrored side boards and crystal accents are our favorites!

My parents and I went here for my dad's birthday. We sat with a view of the lake and the atmosphere of the house itself is beautiful. The wait staff all dress in period costumes. There was a pianist playing in the main dining area. Our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive and the manager came over and talked... More

When you enter this fabulous Victorian atmosphere at the Baker House, you are happily transported via a time machine, to a place where the overstuffed chairs and antique furniture would have been filled with characters from another era. The bar is a classy place to gather and the dining rooms are unique, even to each other. The Baker House is... More

My family and I experienced the Baker House for Mother's Day and another Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere is quaint, the view can't be beat, and the food delicious, varied, plentiful (a buffet), and well worth the price. From the moment you arrive, greeted by a kind, upbeat hostess, to your last bite of a scrumptious meal, the service is excellent,... More

Owners have two facilities....Maxwell House Mansion and Baker House. My son and new wife stayed at the Baker. Wedding Rehearsal dinner was at the Maxwell Mansion. Both are remodeled 19th century homes with furniture and decoration to match. Baker House employees dress in the period and can answer questions about the houses and the area. The meal at the Maxwell... More
