Appetizer of shrimp cocktail for $14 came out with only 5 jumbo shrimp. My first bite... Soft and slimy. Main course of filet minion with blue cheese set on delicious mash potatoes. Flavor profiles were a bit off with the filet and blue cheese. Total dinner for 2 minus the shrimp $101 plus tip. All in all not up to... More

This is a review for the Victorian Afternoon Tea that they have at 2pm on Saturdays in the Summer. I attempted to make reservations for this event weeks in advance, but first the "open table" reservation system would not work for this event, then the gentlemen I talked to the phone seemed unable to make the reservation for me and... We had dinner here out on the enclosed patio area. Atmosphere was wonderful, the view was beautiful and the food was really good. We wished that there were more options for entrees but the portions were good. It was quite pricey although we expected it after spending the day in Lake Geneva as the whole town seems a bit overpriced.... More

My wife and I visited Lake Geneva for our 1st anniversary. When we read about the Baker House, we had to check it out. They had so many fun hats! We sat near the piano and enjoyed live music during our romantic dinner. The food was great! My wife loved her squash bisque, and I ordered pulled pork sliders on... More

Fantastic view. Fun decor. Food just purports to be something way better than it is. Good cheese plate. Bisque was bad. Just salty broth.

Well, it's a beautiful house. That is without question. The concept is very unusual.......apps and funny hats. The appetizers are barely average. Nothing to remember. Drinks are ok. They give you a choice of a goofy hat to wear during your stay. That's it. I mean, really? I remember when this mansion was a fine dinning establishment. It was so... More

My boyfriend and I had three options at the Baker House. Large portions and great options around dinner time. We had the french onion dip with homemade chips that were excellent. The cheese and chocolate fondue were also great!

Excellent food in a renovated Victorian mansion on Lake Geneva. There is a sunset toast & anyone with a special occasion is asked to be part of that. Their menu had changed, but offered a wide variety of options. On the small plates, I chose crab cakes. There wasn't much more than crab there - excellent, from someone who knows... More

We stayed at the sister property, the Maxwell Mansion. When we called to make a reservation, the Maxwell Mansion informed us that their sister property two blocks away had a full restaurant and that is where we could get our meals. The first morning, we walked to the Baker House and the property was all locked up (no breakfast). We... More
