The place has a nice bar to relax before your meal. The food was very good and plenty of it. The server we had was from Bolgaria and was very freindly and did a super job.

best ribs in town!!! love going there when i go to the dells!!!! friendly staff and food is always perfect!
The service sucked, the rolls are reused that come off the table and salads are picked through after sitting in a cooler for ever, don't waste your time or money
Thank you for visiting our fine family owned restaurant. I am sorry you did not have a good experience. Just to clarify a few things about our restaurant. We do not reuse rolls that have been served. That is violation of state code. Also, our salads are made fresh everyday. We support local farm growers in our area such as...

After several terrible brunch experiences with family at assorted local restaurants over the last few years, I would like to thank the entire staff at Embers for a wonderful Mother's Day wxperience. The food was inventive and delicious! I would highly recommend to any and all!!
I have visited the House of Embers on and off for 30 years. Forget all the restaurant chains and hoopla in the Dells area and just go here. The food is consistently very good and the staff friendly. You will find the "Wisconsin supper club theme" here and Mike (co-owner) greeted us at the door. Most of all this provides...

My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time this evening. We were promptly greeted by the host and led to the sun porch. Although the decor was outdated, it was extremely clean. The waitress offered us the nightly specials, and the price of each. I ordered the Mederterrainen Linguine. It was fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, and huge portion! I...

The waitress was complaining about a 2 dollar tip from another patron. I could hear the dishwasher. The food was average at best. Their signature item ribs was dry and ordinary. The waitress asked me if my dinner was ok. I had to agree. Get a hamburger somewhere you will be less disappointed. 42 bucks for just me. Yuck!
The best thing was the $5 cup of cauliflower soup. We spent about $65 on a hamburger, a cup of soup, and half chicken with mashed potatoes. Everything inside looked very old and dated. Plus the service was SLOW.
Thank you for visiting our fine restaruant. We are one of the original classic supper clubs that has been in my family for 56 years. We have updated the bar in the past year and are in the process of updating the dinning rooms this past winter and spring. In all fairness, we do not charge $65 for a cup...

The bloody mary and eggs hollondaise were the best part about the brunch. There was very little variety and some vegetables would have been much apprecaited. For a 17.99 buffet I would have expected much more.
Skip the tourist trap restaurants on the main drag of the Dells. Continue driving until you swing into the parking lot of Wally's House of Embers. Open the door and appreciate the original menu, circa 1960, affixed to a bulletin display. Wow! Your jaw will drop when you note the price for a filet or a lobster tail, under $4.00!...
