After reading several reviews about their steaks, we decided to try this restaurant on our recent trip. My husband and I both had the filet that was very tender and cooked to our request. The Clam chowder was good as well as the garlic toast they served. Would certainly stop here again if I was in the area.

Delicious food. Our group of eight had a variety of entrees and all were pleased with their choices. The servings were generous. The garlic bread was fabulous. The service was very good.

Our group of eight had arrived in La Crosse and were trying to find a place that satisfy our various tastes and dining requirements. A hotel employee recommended Digger's Sting and we're glad she did! A short 3-block walk from our hotel found us entering this uniquely decorated restaurant. While it looks like a fancy "joint" from days gone by,... More

I like to go to places in a town /city that are really only there...so this place was perfect. OLD SCHOOL...a throw back to like 1940. The vibe was fun and we went for an early lunch so super quiet. Real napkins/real glasses... I had the prime rib sandwich wish was AWESOME and a salad w/ house dressing which was... More

Excellent food, casual, older dining room experience, friendly staff! My sons have chosen this for some of their birthday dinners, as well as general family and friend outings. The reputation for this restaurant is often word of mouth, as you might not just "choose" it from walking by. The charm is realized as you enter, get seated and enjoy the... More

My wife and I visited Digger's sting on a Wednesday evening in La Crosse. The restaurant was reasonably busy for a Wednesday which was a good sign of things to come. The waiter seated us and was very friendly and helped explain some of the menu items. We ordered a ribeye steak (with baked potato), A steak and blue cheese... More

A nice local place in La Crosse. I went there on a Friday for dinner. The Bad: They were out of several kinds of potato and ALMOST out of prime rib. No desserts made in house. Dimly lit old dining room (might have been on purpose). Salad was so-so. The Good: Excellent Garlic Bread! It is almost like a fresh... More
