Fast and pleasant service. First thing out – a bowl of garlic toast, a basket of a variety of crackers, bread sticks and rolls, and a relish plate with pickles, radishes, and carrots to munch on. Nice to have appetizers (not charged for) that include fresh veggies! Large variety on the menu from more expensive, fancy dinners to many sandwich... More

After viewing a movie nearby we decided to stop in for a late lunch and it was quite crowded. Server was a real character, but did a good job. Lasagne snd Swiss chicken were both pleasing choices. The accompanying French onion soup and house salad were both solid as well. I can see why it's so popular!

This place is one of my favorites. I've visited many times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is great and the food is top notch. Best French-onion soup I've ever had!

Read reviews here and lady at hotel said she never had a bad meal here -- funky old world decor and building but interesting trip back to yesteryear -- food as promised first rate -- from French Onion soup, to basket of garlic toast on table to the highlight of scallops "peddler style" (butter. mushrooms and onions with croutons) --... This has been here forever. Menu does not change, guess if it works while mess with it. Smaller place, could find yourself waiting, you can make reservations except on Fridays. Good bacon wrapped shrimp.

Honestly, this is one of the best meals I've had in awhile. Got the special, catfish and a 12 oz sirloin steak. Huge portion sizes, great taste, awesome service. I was so impressed. The building and decor is real old. This place doesn't look like much, but it has history and charm. This is a must if you're in the... More

Very good food-- fish, garlic bread. Reasonably priced--especially the drinks. The place can be busy (we got there early on a Friday night to beat the crowd) and the waiting area is cramped, but it's worth it.

We called at 5:15 on a Friday night to see if we could get in at 6:30. I know, poor planning on my part does not guarantee a reservation on their part. But we got one nonetheless. Our table was waiting for us complete with breadbasket, relish tray and ice water, a very welcome touch. Service was prompt and attentive.... More

We went here for breakfast this week and was not disappointed. The restaurant is small and rather quaint. The service was excellent. My husband had the prime rib hash and I had the Western Omelette. My husband was quite impressed with his hash. He said it had lots of meat and was very tasty. My omelette was good but not the... More
