Food was great, i ordered the club sandwich and could only finish half just because they serve such large portions. Waitress was very attentive. Hope to be back soon to try their steak.

We had dinner here last night and the food, as always, was quite good. Hungry Peddler has an old school supper club feel to it. The food is your usual steaks and sea food fare but done very well. The ambiance is one of character that has withstood the test of time. My son had a sirloin steak which he... More

Good portion size, tasty food, friendly wait staff. Not a large place plan on early or later dinner but the food is well worth it!

Come to this restaurant really really hungry. You will leave fully satisfied. Come early as the place fills with regular customers. Once here, you will understand why the place fills early. The food is wonderful!!! The one difficulty I had at this restaurant was the difficulty choosing what I wanted, so many good things to choose from.

I eat here numerous times each year and always enjoy the service and meal. The waitresses are attentive and personal and that adds to the flavor of this unique restaurant. It is a bit dark at times so if you want to read a newspaper ask for a table near the window or one with a lamp.

Visited here for breakfast while visiting family in La Crosse: What we liked: 1. Outstanding service. We felt very welcomed by all staff members, and when we asked for something, like extra napkins, they got it to us in a flash. 2. There is a portion of the menu devoted to those with small appetites. 3. My husband enjoyed the... More

We arrived at dinner time expecting to wait to be seated; however, we were sat right away with a variety of goodies on our table, from crackers to veggies. The restaurant is quaint but makes up for it in personality. I enjoyed the "old fashioned" look of the place and seeing all the history. Our server was friendly and always... More

So much food! Well worth the visit! Doesn't look like much from the outside - we met friends there and they laughed - "is this really where we're eating?" - inside it looks like an old 70s supper club - the food is delicious, LOTS of it, bread, crackers, veggies for appetizers, many entrees come with soup AND salad, and... I've had other menu items at the Hungry Peddler in the past, but the one that really stands out as being exceptionally good (and that is an understatement) is their grilled Reuben sandwich. When made correctly, this is my favorite sandwich. The Hungry Peddler not only knows how to make this sandwich, they have it down to an art. Trust... More
