Staff was very good, 'Great Buns' too.

Great Buns is their mantra and they aren't lying. Their bread stuffs are excellent. I had a hard time deciding what to eat so I went for the Fish and Chips (Cod). It came with too much salad and too many fries. Not bad if you are hungry, but I couldn't finish it. They don't display it, but their... read more

Hospitable waitresses (quick, polite, knowledgeable, and efficient). Reasonable pricing. Delightful decor with a blend of local history and nostalgia. I have visited several times in the past 5 years. It is a high demand place that if you are there for peak times (Sunday mornings), you could wait 20-45 minutes to be seated.

Had heard alot about Fayze's but I wasn't impressed. We sat in the back where there was a low ceiling - which made for a loud noise level. Food was average - toast was burned to a crisp - and service was hit and miss. Prices were good though. No need to go back while we are in La Crosse... More

This restaurant was pretty average. I would have rated it a bit higher but the service was not good. It took 30-35 min for us to get our food. We ordered at 11:45 on a Sunday. Maybe that is typical for the restaurant, but I've been to plenty of places like this and it is unusual for me. The waitress... More

We thought we might have to wait for a table considering it was a busy weekend in LaCrosse, but we got right in, and were served very quickly. Prices are good, food is great, and staff is very friendly. Love the atmosphere, also.

We had a late morning brunch with family we were visiting. We had a large table and good service for such a large number of people that we had in our party. Several of us had Bloody Marys, and there are several varieties to choose from. Great breakfast foods were had by all of us, from pancakes to omelettes. I... More

Our party of 10 included twin 5-year-old boys, a girl of 7, and another boy of 9. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even trying hard to assist with a shy child. One dish we enjoyed was the Chicken Bacon Mac N Cheese, which was made with real bacon and lots of it! The only bacon mac n cheese... More

We usually have our family breakfasts here as the food is so good and the atmosphere so friendly. The prices are great and it is in a good downtown location for travelers.

Located a short walk from the Convention Center, this well established restaurant is a true find on our visit to La Crosse. The food is almost all prepared fresh on site including their great breads and bakery items. My fish sandwich was two large hand breaded loins on one of their signature buns and was the best I have ever... More

I was here for a convention and my business partners and I were looking for a fairly inexpensive sit-down restaurant and ventured inside. The wait was fairly quick consitering many other people from the convention were here, the staff was super sweet and the food tasted superb! I would definitely come here again!
