The food here was good, nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. It is a good place to take the family for a 1950's drive in experience. Root beer floats were good and burgers were hot and fresh. Not a place for fine dining but good for a burger and reasonable prices.

I went to Rudy's while in town for a motorcycle rally. They've got homemade root beer and genuine drive-in food, served by carhops on roller skates. What's not to love? This place has been around for a long time and there's a reason for that -- it's great! Check it out.

It's been years since I've been here, now I remember why, grant it chili dogs are not exactly for fine diners but I love trying out chili dogs and theirs just didn't cut the mustard even though I had mustard and onions on it. The special was a bargain at 99 cents each; I just regret that I ate them.... More

I go about weekly to get the best root beer, ice cream and chili dogs. A must stop on a motorcycle or convertible. Lacrosse landmark and family business

I love the style of the drive in resturant including service to your car by girls on rollerskates! But the food is very good too! The turkey burger is very good and the dole whip is awesome! A must try if you are in the area!

We stopped at Rudy's for root beer and hot dogs. It's a long-standing Mecca for those who remember old time drive-ins with car hops on roller skates, quick and inexpensive food, and flashbacks to the 50's and 60's. If you are ever in La Crosse, be sure to stop at Rudy's.

If you're looking for a fun eating experience and the retro atmosphere definitely check this place out! But if your looking for a really good meal, try something else. I was expecting more a homemade meal/diner experience and it was just a bunch of pre-frozen heated up food. Bleh. The root beer was pretty good though!

The staff and ambiance were awesome. I love the vintage look and service. But the food was sub-McDonald's--very greasy, very trashy, and misleadingly described in the menu. (For example, the menu stated "whole wheat crescent role," when what we actually got was a spongy wonder bread.) Also, it was a HUGE disappointment that we weren't even given plates when we... More

Carhops on roller skates, trays clipped to the car window. Wow. Makes you think you've gone back in time, until you notice you're surrounded by minivans and SUV's. But the food is good, and like real drive-in food, perhaps a bit messy. Chili dogs, fries, rings and ice cream all good. Only thing missing was 50's/60's music.....
