I love the style of the drive in resturant including service to your car by girls on rollerskates! But the food is very good too! The turkey burger is very good and the dole whip is awesome! A must try if you are in the area!

Go to rudy's almost weekly in the summer, food is great and the service is always wonderful. Home made root beer and great ice cream.

We stopped at Rudy's for root beer and hot dogs. It's a long-standing Mecca for those who remember old time drive-ins with car hops on roller skates, quick and inexpensive food, and flashbacks to the 50's and 60's. If you are ever in La Crosse, be sure to stop at Rudy's.

If you're looking for a fun eating experience and the retro atmosphere definitely check this place out! But if your looking for a really good meal, try something else. I was expecting more a homemade meal/diner experience and it was just a bunch of pre-frozen heated up food. Bleh. The root beer was pretty good though!

The staff and ambiance were awesome. I love the vintage look and service. But the food was sub-McDonald's--very greasy, very trashy, and misleadingly described in the menu. (For example, the menu stated "whole wheat crescent role," when what we actually got was a spongy wonder bread.) Also, it was a HUGE disappointment that we weren't even given plates when we... More

Carhops on roller skates, trays clipped to the car window. Wow. Makes you think you've gone back in time, until you notice you're surrounded by minivans and SUV's. But the food is good, and like real drive-in food, perhaps a bit messy. Chili dogs, fries, rings and ice cream all good. Only thing missing was 50's/60's music.....

We ordered a cheeseburger (good), pizza burger (terrible), root beer (yum) and strawberry shake (runny). 2/4 ... not a good average. Quick delivery by carhops on roller skates.

This is a great local Icon. Fun drive-in throwback from the 60's with great food. Need a quick lunch while traveling? This is the place to go.

We went here expecting some yummy chili dogs. Not so much. Service was great, fries and onion rings just fine, root beer tasty. The chili was a gloppy consistency that didn't improve the dog.

Picked up a brochure somewhere on this place. After seeing everything we wanted to do in LaCrosse, we decidied to get a bite to eat and ended up here. So glad we did, as it brought back some wonderful memories of the A&W Drive-in in my hometown when I was a child. The Car Hops in poodle skirts and roller... More
