We had a good night at the Freight House started at the bar listening to a three man band and having some drinks it was nice. Then we were seated and had a great meal (Steak and Lobster) very tasty.

I really enjoy the Freight House. It is darn expensive, but you are getting high quality product. The atmosphere inside is great. Last time, they even had a small acoustic band in the lounge. I usually get the prime rib and my wife gets crab legs. There are certainly cheaper places to get good prime rib, but you will not... More

A bit pricey but the steak and salmon were good. For the price it doesn't seem like there should be a salad bar with limited choices but the scallops appetizer was awesome.

This is the restaurant that our friends like to take us to when we come to La Crosse. The food is good - their special is their prime rib. They also have a variety of fish. You build your own salad at the salad bar - which is always fresh. Nice service.

Classic building with high quality service and food. Go casual or dress for fine dining. Staff is well trained and helpful. Food is excellent and many choices. Well worth the stop.

I've been here two or three times and my sister-in-law would probably die if she knew...I think this place is an just an average steak house...nothing memorable (except...keep reading!). They love it and it seems to be the ¨go-to¨ place for a nice dinner. Ugh! As I've said about La Crosse before...the atmosphere can't be beat...lots of memorabilia to look... More

The freight house is a very nice restaurant I love the food it is excellent but pricey. The atmosphere is also really nice. The only negative I can give is that Diggers Sting down the street is better and less expensive.

My wife and I joined two other couples for our semi-annual trek to Lacrosse for dinner at this classic downtown restaurant. Our waiter was an experienced young man who kept on top of all of our needs. He was helpful in pairing the sides with the steaks or crab legs we enjoyed. The loaded baked potato paired nicely with sun-dried... More

Had the opportunity to have dinner at the Freighthouse and we were as impressed as ever! They have the best crab legs and I would recommend sharing a full order with a friend. You pay $7 extra and then both people get salad bar and a side. I recommend the baked potato (and ask for the butter, sour cream, bacon,... More
