We were here as a large group. The service was good. The food was excellent. It gets quite noisy in there when there are a lot of people which makes it difficult to hear each other. But that is how it is when it is a good restaurant and they were full for lunch.

It was just a drink and gator things for hubs. He liked them. My martini was super! The music was so low we couldn't hear. And so was the Monday night football. Strange. Seems like a fun hangout.

One of my favorite places to eat when traveling through La Crosse Wisconsin. One of the only places to get fried gator this far north - yum! Don't miss ordering Big Joe Weitekamp's Beer Cheese Soup, gator finger appetizers or a specialty diner. I'm working my way through the creole/cajun and blackened dinners. They never disappoint. Last meal was Rasta... More

So....there was a 60+ minute wait for Buzzard Billy's and the other restaurants were pretty empty.. The decision was to stick out the wait and we are so glad we did. The food is delicious and the wait staff friendly and very helpful. If you are in La Crosse you have to eat here! Delicious!!!!

Menu is eclectic and the prices are great. The street is so cool. We ate here in 2013. We will be back.

The food was pretty good with mid-range prices. We had gator fingers, the bayou platter, and seafood chicken au gratin. The portion sizes were huge and for the most part pretty tasty. The hush puppies and gumbo were only okay. Our service was less than stellar which definitely affected our opinion of the establishment. However, we didnt find a huge... More

I only had soup and salad and they were good but it's probably not a good enough judge of some of the more traditional Cajun dishes they serve. My potato soup had too much pepper but it tasted nice and fresh. The blackened shrimp on my salad was cooked nicely. They had a good selection of local beers.

Snuck in for a quick lunch and a fast beer on a Saturday afternoon while in town. Fun atmosphere, nice selection of draught and local beers, better than average bar food and a great staff. Had a blast and will be back next time I'm in La Crosse!

We were looking for a place to eat late that was not full of the college kids who swarm the streets downtown in La Crosse after 11PM! Buzzard Billy's solved the dilemma! While there may have been some college kids there, it wasn't the college bar scene found at most open establishments. The food was delicious. We had prime rib... More

My $18.99 sirloin steak was tasteless and tough. The blackened tilapia was excellent. Our server was delightful and attentive.
