Very Reliable Sushi

My family and I have been eating here for the past five years It is by far the best sushi option around. I would not say it is the very best sushi I have ever had (compared to say San Francisco or downtown Chicago), but it is very good, and consistently so. They have a good variety of sushi... read more

We had a late lunch here today. My husband loves Sashimi and Sushi. I do too but he really does!! He ordered the Love Boat which comes on a Big Wooden Ship. The presentation is wonderful. You almost don't want to ruin the look. But of course we do. The pieces are cut thick unlike some other Japanese places. Very... More

We were in town for the Racine Ironman and chose here for our post-race celebration meal. Great choice. Very clean inside. Sashimi platter tasted very fresh and the food came out very quickly.

Atmosphere and seating is very nice. Waitstaff is helpful and friendly. The food was JUST OK. I had a few sushi rolls and the consistency was a bit sluggish and pasty. Not what you expect .. you expect the flavors of the roll to jump out at you, but it was just too mushy. A friend of mine ordered the... More

I wish there was a "good" rating. Or maybe I am just thinking that way because Soon's Sushi Cafe is better than "excellent" to me... Let's start with the positives... Shrimp Tempura, whether it's as the appetizer or inside one of their rolls, it is delicious and crispy. The hibachi tables look fun and smell great but we did not... More

Kenosha WI is not yet the Mecca of Urban Food Destinations, but places like Honada's is helping greatly. Fresh sushi and Teppen yaki tables with hibachi grilled optipns help the sushi staved find salvation from the fried food dominated market. The quiet atmosphere of the traditional Japanese steakhouse is a pleasure, as well.

We met my wife's sister here for Sunday lunch at 12 noon. Aside from one other couple, we were the only guests. The service was good but the food was not up to snuff - my wife's udon noodles were in a tasteless broth and my salmon teriyaki was OK but served with tasteless vegetables. The green tea was weaker... More

I got 4 different s shi rolls, and my brother got one of their box meals (beef ter.) and it was all really good. The only thing I did not care for was the tempura veggies, but the tempura seafood was great. I would highly recommend this place. Great food for the prices.

Bottom line is I could get better sushi at Woodmans at a better price. Even the habachi grill was mediocre. The atmosphere is cold. The chief had no flare and no personality. I Can't think of one good reason to go back.

Food is good but their chefs need a little more traing by Benny Hona chefs...........! They are just a tad bit inexperienced when it comes to flipping those ginsu knives in the air. Some are better than the others. On the whole, it is a pleasant experience with good food.
