A Mecca for Wisconsin Brats

Located along Interstate 94 just west of the Highway 50 Exit. The restaurant is a rambling old building. The interior is multilevel and can be a bit confusing especially when going to or returning from the bathroom. No worries...the Cajun brat is my favorite but there are many options. Also, try... read more

I used to drive up to Kenosha every other week for a couple of brats and a few beers at the Brat Stop. The food was/is good and I just liked getting away from Illinois and drinking-in a bit of the cheesehead dive ambiance. But over the last couple of years the prices have been raised and raised to the... More

Never disappoints. Food was very good and Michael was a super bartender. Highly recommended for sporting events.

I came here with a few friends, and while I can't judge the bar (I only had food then left), it was nothing impressive. The service was pretty bad, and the food was even worse. I would not recommend this place but it has a very Wisconsin vibe to it, if you're into that.

We had the most wonderful lunch today. Alyssa, our waitress, was incredibly helpful teaching us about local brats, cheeses, and beers. The food was incredible. Highly recommend the brats sampler and cheese curds! Wish we didn't live so far away that we could visit again. Maybe one day!

Walked over to the Brat Stop from the Best Western. The bar was a typical Wisconsin bar. Had the Brat Sampler and enjoyed it. I'm not sure that there was anything special about the place.

Stopped at the Brat Stop after outlet shopping. Wish we didn't have that cheeseburger earlier as the smells coming from the dining area were enticing. We only did a quick made dash for some cheese, crackers and Kringle in the take-out area. Our next trip will include some brats, chili, and curds for sure!

My wife and I dined at The Brat Stop while waiting to hear one of our favorite bands. We ordered (and shared) chili, cheese curds and a bratwurst. Needless to say, all were excellent. The chili had just enough "heat", curds were appropriately "squeaky" and the brat was delicious. Service was also very good, and the entertainment venue was enjoyable.... More

This place is still going strong and hasn't changed much in 20+ years. The brats are good. The atmosphere is noisy. It's a combination restaurant / bar / cheese house / package liquor / and deli. You can pick up frozen brats, spotted cow, and cheese curds on your way back to Chicago.
