Overall good food and service, but...

We've been coming here for years, and while the quality of the food and service has generally always been excellent, it seems to have gone downhill lately. Still, nothing wrong with the Guiness. We've been coming here for years, and while the quality of the food and service has generally always been excellent, it seems to have gone downhill lately. Still, nothing wrong with the Guiness. The prices have always been a little on the high side, especially for dinner. This IS Kenosha, after all. We had a catered on-site 80th birthday party... More

Spent a wonderful lunch here on a beautiful Saturday. Not crowded. Great wait staff. fish and chips were wonderful. and was able to substitute sweet potato fries for regular fries. Ruben was made with wonderful corn beef and piled high. Cheese cake was a nice addition for dessert. The restaurant looks out over a small harbor so you can look... More

We have eaten here a few times. The good is traditional Irish with a few twists. We love the bacon wrapped dates appetizer. Awesome!!! The food is always good and a fairly stable offering. The Shepard s pie is to die for!!!! If you are in kenosha this is a must.

We stopped in as we were on Kenisha's lakefront and had to walk by the outdoor dining area which was littered with cigarette butts. In through the door at first glance the place looked nice but while we waited for service at the bar had a chance to look a little closer. And closer. And closer. Yep you guessed it... More

Simply put, this is not the best Irish food I have ever had, but it isn't too bad. We started with the Bloody Mary happy hour special and I have to say it was impressive. In fact, it is almost a whole meal all by itself! As for the food, I had the Irish stew and it was delicious. One... More

...the food isn't on par with the great service and location. The salmon was overcooked and tasteless even with a dill sauce sloped on it. Whipped potatoes were also bland and way too dense. My wife's battered fish was much better. House salads mediocre. No rush to return.

Went to the Farmer's Market and discovered this restaurant. Wanting to sit and enjoy the Lake Michigan and marina view, the family decided to try this pub which overlooks both. It was 1030 am and they were open serving breakfast (eggs, bangers, mash) or lunch with the traditional corn beef, hash, cottage pie, pot roast, or regular american foods. I... More

My husband and I came for dinner on a Saturday night. We waited at the bar for less than ten minutes before s table opened up. Lots of great beer choices on tap. Nice pub atmosphere and decor. Husband had the root soup which he thought was very good and we shared the chicken fingers which were excellent with two... More

We stopped in for the restroom and stayed for two rounds of drinks. The bartender was nice. The beer was smooth. It was pretty empty on a late Sunday night but we were very impressed with the bartender. We already plan on stopping back in for an Irish Car Bomb and a Bloody Mary.

This wonderful restaurant and pub, located overlooking the water in Kenosha features marvelous Irish influenced cuisine and live music on weekends. Going to dine at Ashling on the Lough has always been a special treat - I took my husband there for his Birthday Dinner when one of our favorite Irish singers was performing too.
