So we waited 20 minutes for the server to even take our drink order. Then it took him 10 minutes to bring our drinks. Said he was waiting for fresh coffee to brew, but my husband's coffee was Luke warm. I tried it to see because he likes things piping hit and it really was just barely warm and bitter.... More

One word... YUM! Ashlings on the Lough is the kind of place I go to treat myself! The sandwiches are around ten dollars and the entrees are from $15 to $20. This place clearly cares about taste and quality of serving great food. The staff is also very knowledgable about their products. I ordered a house wine, and the waitress... More

Our party of six was seated quickly on a Sunday afternoon without reservations. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, but not so attentive. The menu is very limited. Three of us had the fish 'n chips and they were ok. Two had the Ameche chicken sandwich - again, just okay. It took a long time for our food to... More

So I was super embarrassed by an experience we had at one of my favorite restaurants. We had some time between a wedding and the reception and those of us not in the wedding party needed somewhere to go. Someone mentioned Ashling's and I was gung-ho telling the out of town relatives how great this place is. My hubby, father... More

Fantastic setting right on Kenosha's Lakefront. Great choices at the bar and even better choices in the menu. Friendly waitstaff and it's not overly cramped with tables which makes it enjoyable. Shepherd's Pie is out of this world. I've been to England, Ireland and Scotland and I have to say, the recipes used here are truly from the Old Sod.... More

Inconspicuously located on the end of a row of buildings it is not obvious but worth checking out. A range of traditional Irish foods (and Guinness of course).Complimentary brown bread is almost like a bran muffin and a nice start. I enjoyed the grouper (special) and they modified the sides to fit my dietary needs. Fried Ruben appetizer unusual and... More

We were visiting from out of town and had gotten some recommendations on restaurants able to serve our two severely gluten intolerant (celiac) family members. The server immediately knew what we needed and communicated well about menu options (actually the menu was labeled)! Everything about the service was spot on and the food (GF and Non-GF) was excellent! Wish we... More

We've eaten at Ashling several times, and the service is always fantastic. The food is good, and the atmosphere is nice. The prices are little high, but not outrageous for what you get. The last time I went I got a spinach salad with bacon dressing that was delicious. My kids and husband like their burgers and steaks.

I had been to this restaurant on other occasions and loved the fact that it pours the "perfect glass" of Guiness. Not on St. Patrick's day weekend, a corparate decision to serve beer only in plastic cups. We took our business elswhere, where you could actually get a Guiness or Harp in a pint glass. The manager wouldn't even allow... More
