Best Italiean Saug. & Hot Beef

Once the snow stop here and the weather starts warming up, you will start to smell Tenutas grills cooking away. For a quick lunch or even a super you can beat it here. Stop and try it.Then after you eat go inside for an old world treat. The best Italian food around. When I shop I come home with the... read more

My husband moved here from France and mourned deeply the loss of quality cheese and dry sausage, among other things, so Tenuta's has been his (our) salvation. We fell in love with Tenuta's upon our first visit. We frequent this divey little joint in search for fresh bread, homemade pasta and sauce, wines (ridiculous selection), beer, dry salamis (saussison), cured... More

Grew up in Kenosha, so this is the place to go whether you need liquor, fixin's to make pizza, take and bake pizza or to make your own "fake" baked mostacoli! We usually go here at least once a month to get a take and bake pizza along with raspberry Cannolis. It's a tiny store but so much fun to... More

The deli part of the store has fabulous Italian food, and the wine selection here is phenomenal! There are many specialty seasonings, pastas, frozen foods, bakery, and deli selections. The wine department has the best selection around, and they also carry a full array of liquor as well. This is a real gem! The owners are very nice, all the... More

We were amazed at the large selection of liquor for a local store and will go back to buy some for our next party. Our advise is to give yourself plenty of time to see all of the many different cheeses, pasta & really, everything they have. The Italian bulk sausage was the leanest & best we have ever eaten... Tenutas is a Kenosha land mark!! Try their made fresh take and heat pizza! They have a HUGE cigar humidor, almost every beer you could name, and fresh made food at the deli. If you happen to visit in the warm season, they have a grill attached to the store for fresh sandwiches. This is not to be confused with... More

This place is by far the best specialty grocery store in the area. The meats and cheeses are amazing. They make amazing homemade salads, desserts and sandwiches. The only thing they don't have is fresh produce. Their liquor department is well stocked with finds from all over Europe and the US.

When I return to the Motherland (Kenosha, WI), we always make a stop at Tenuta's. And now it is a family favorite. One step into the store and smell the aroma of heaven. The Italian Sausage Bomber with sweet peppers from the deli is delicious. You can taste the Romano in the sauce. That sauce must cook for 10-12 hours.... More

This is by far the best place in Kenosha to buy all things Italian. A real Kenosha tradition. Large selection of food items. Great homemade frozen ravioli. Great in summer to get a sausage or panini from their outdoor grill. Liquor also sold.

Although we live out of state, we have been visiting Kenosha, Wisconsin for 32 years as my wife grew up here. We have been shopping and/or eating at Tenutas for the same 32+ years. This establishment is well known with locals and many put-of-towners and out-of-staters. Excellent place to enjoy a bomber (meatball, Italian sausage, roast beef, eggplant etc or... More
