When the GM plant closed a few years back, Janesville's economy took a big hit. Nearby Beloit also hit the economic skids. Amidst the economic carnage, and in spite of recent feckless and ineffecftive economic "recovery" policies, O'Riley's thankfully managed to survive. The menu is full of winners, including the black bean and onion soups (house made daily). Bangers and... More

I hate to say this, but I was very disappointed with my dinner at Riley's. I was so excited for something different. We got an appetizer (unfortunately I can't remember what it was called) and it was average. It was like a deep fried Reuben. Very greasy, but average. Then we had dinner. I ordered the fish and chips, and... More

This bar/restaurant has it all. The food is great and they are one of the few places in town that actually has good wine. They also pour you a full glass and not the teeny tiny servings that many places serve. My husband loves their beer selection. The atmosphere is the icing on the cake.

This is the first time we have been let down by trip advisor reviews. We were sat at a dirty table expecting the seater to come back and clean it, she never did. The Guinness was very good, and that was all that was good. We both ordered fish and chips that came out greasy, soggy, unappetizing, and in the... More

Had a friend visiting from out of state, and she wanted to try this place. I'd never heard of it, so was eager to try something new. Several traditional irish-style dishes on the menu. We each ordered shepherd's pie. Thankfully it was Americanized and wasn't made with kidneys, etc.! However, it was quite greasy and didn't have a lot of... More

My girlfriend and I frequent this pub. We both love the food and the atmosphere. Always a great experience, whether we are going for a full "sit down" dinner or just for an appetizer on Wednesday nights for music, we always have a great time. Great food, great owner, and great staff!

The shepherds pie was amazing. And the atmosphere was perfect for our Monday night anniversary dinner. Lisa's service and attention was perfect as well. Definitely be back to try out other items!

This is a very friendly place from the Manager to the Wait Staff. The service was prompt and very helpful with the menu. The Black Bean soup is delicious. The Corned Beef and Cabbage is a classic and prepared perfectly. They even offered me a chance to join the trivia game they were playing near the front of the restaurant.

This pub should not be overlooked in downtown Janesville. it has very nice ambience, a very good selection of food and drink - and the best Irish Stew I've ever had.
