My wife and I had dinner at the Winzer Stube in Hudson. It is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is always delicious, the service is great, and the city of Hudson is a quaint place to visit. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and we love having German food. Marie and her staff make you feel special.... More

Five gals visited Winzer Stube for Asparagus Festival. The A. soup was very good. I have never had white asparagus and it was so tender and goood. It was interesting to have the waitress explain how white asparagus is grown and how rare it is. 3 of the gals had never been there before and were very pleased with the... More

If you like German food this is a place to go. It is in the basement of an old building down town Hudson. The atmosphere is authentic along with the food. It is some of the best German food I have had for awhile. Great menu and fair prices.

Visited over Easter weekend and it's a favorite of my sister-in-law, whose family lives nearby in River Falls. They love this place. As others have said, there is no view whatsoever, as it is in a basement. Because it was Easter Sunday, it wasn't busy at all. Service was pretty quick. I tried the mushroom cream soup and ordered the... More

The food is authentic, the wine and beer selections are varied and reasonable and the atmosphere reminds you of a quiet restaurant in Munich - complete with German music and - if you're lucky - a German waitress. The home made sausages are wonderful! As is the Apfel Strudel!

Located downstairs, it has no view, so you have to look at who you are with (just kidding). It is authentic as one can expect not being in Germany (and I have), but what do you expect when a German owns the joint? Typical German Speisse (food) and it is good. Probably one of the best selections of tap beer... More

I visited the Stube for drinks with some friends from work on Friday. The bar tender was very friendly and knowledgeable. I admittably don't know much about beer and don't drink it too often. But the bartender gave me samples of a few he thought I might like. Then he told me about the German beer I had picked and... More

Worth the drive if you like authentic German food. Beers are good too. Waitress was great, and pricing was okay. Only disadvantage is the lower level location - no handicap access. Will be returning again!

My mother-in-law was born in Germany and she loves this restaurant. My wife and I lived in Germany for 3 years and ate out often. The Winzer Stude is as good or better than the best food we had there. This is no small trick either since cooking German food is the US involves more than just converting metric measures... More

One of the top German restaurants in America, the Winzer Stube hits the mark for authentic German cuisine. Delicious schnitzels, spatezle, red cabbage and sauerkraut don't get any more German. Fine German beers, and very nice wines compliment each meal perfectly. Outstanding Cream of Mushroom Soup served with a loaf of crusty bread is superb for just the right lunch.
