We used to go here when we lived in Hudson 9 years ago. It was pretty good ... Not the best but good for a small border town in Wisconsin. We returned since my mother-in-law wanted to. First it was not full but it still took them a while to notice and seat us even though we had a reservation.... More

If you like real German food and environment, you must go to the Winzer Stube. Great selection of beers, the food is great and is German. The service is great and you feel like in Germany. You need to be hungry, there is a lot of food. The Schweinshaxe is the BEST!

My husband and I enjoyed a very good meal last night at this restaurant. Don't know why some reviewers claim this is not authentic German food, but you could have fooled me. I have toured Germany in the past and our meal was equal to, if not better, than some meals I ate in Germany. I think that the menu... More

Having eaten here before I hesitated when friends wanted to meet here. I'm German & this was not German food. The hock was like a tough football, chicken breast was dry & burned. Sandwich was so wet the bun disintegrated. There was a reason we had not eaten here in several years. Sorry they have not improved, definitely not authentic... More

Walking down to this restaurant you feel like you are entering a wine cellar in Germany. It is decorated with German pictures and postcards. I went to this restaurant after reading Tripadvisor and was definitely not disappointed. I wanted to try some of the German food and drink some German beer and this was definitely the place to do it.... More

Unfortunately, children who inherit a business rarely display the professionalism or passion for the restaurant their parents had. When one inherits their career and doesn't accomplish it for themselves - they don't recognize it wasnt their efforts that established the customer base. Winzer Stube suffers from such a presence. Lets hope maria comes back and gets the business back in... More

We had a nice time, as we always enjoy the company we keep, but we won't be back, as Hudson has so many top notch restaurants. Our waitress was okay, but only asked once how our meal was , and we had go flag her down for both another beer, and the bill. They ran out of the beer I... More

Great tap beer selection. Very authentic German food. Delightful atmosphere. Apple Strudel was the best.
