Stopped in after a long day in the cold to have a few drinks. We asked to sample one of the beers before ordering a pitcher, but the waitress flatly refused; "I don't do samples," she told us. Then we asked for pitchers of water and she told us "it's up on the counter and wouldn't bring us any. It... More

Each year we stay here during the Wisconsin deer season. The food is great for up north with great burgers, tasty pizza and some great steaks. The place is very clean and has live entertainment on weekends too. it is located on the snowmobile trails and very close to birkie for cross country skiing.

Our place is only 4 miles from here, so this is our "go-to" place for quite a few meals. We usually get there a dozen or so times over the course of a summer. As we've gotten to know more and more people in the area, we've come to realize that this is a local gathering spot as well as... More

We eat at the Sawmill on average about once every other month. We have tried many different meals and all were wonderful! We have yet to find something not to our standards. All the foods are well done, presented in a nice way, and the price is very affordable. The waitresses work very hard to make your visit enjoyable. We... More

We drive by the Sawmill often on our way to and from Ashland and had never stopped. One day, we finally did, and we were very happy. We stopped in for breakfast fairly early, and were greeted as though we were regular guests. I was pleased with the flavoring and portion size of my omelette, and the prices were comparable... More

A trip to Cable wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Seeley Sawmill Saloon for a few beers and some good food.

I have visted here a few times over the years. There are good things like the pizzas and the mixed drinks. There are bad things including the house special walleye plate for 20 dollars. Not good at all, and not worth the price. The waitress was very rude and unprofessional.

Stopped in on a Friday searching for a good fish fry after visiting Madeline Island and heading home. The place was pretty busy, and is huge, with multiple dining rooms. They were having a private party in one of the rooms, and we saw the type of fare they were serving, so decided to give it a try. The broasted... More
