Nice atmosphere situated in a well cared for old hardware store. Well presented and good tasting food. Particularly enjoyed the hangar steak. Attentive and knowledgable waiter (Andrew). Prices almost all under $20, many under $16.

Four friends shared an evening together. I had the Spinach Ravioli:Florentine spinach and cheese ravioli in herb butter sauce ($13.95). Superb! My husband dined on Beef Fettuccine: beef tips, mushrooms and onions in a Marsala cream ($14.95) Hearty and well-proportioned! Both were nicely plated. The current chef-in-training is excellent. For an extra $1.99 you can add a house salad with... More

I went to this place before a play and had 10 people in the party. We had looked at the menu on line and the prices were not the same, the prices were about $2 higher. We were expecting a nice portion of food but was disappointed with the amount of monk fish that was served. It was very tasty... More

I live in the area and have been hearing about this place for a long time. My wife ate here twice before and liked it so we picked this place for our wedding anniversary dinner. She ordered the scallops which she had in the past and commented on how much smaller they were this time...also VERY salty. I had the... More

My wife and I had a nice dinner here for New Year's Eve. The service was efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The food was very good but not exceptional. I found the wine list to be very disappointing. It was limited in size and lacking in quality. We had not been to Big Tomatoes in quite... More

My wife and I visited here just a couple of days ago. We were impressed by the resume of the Executive chef shown on their web site. We have eaten at some of the places he has worked, and thought we should give Big Tomatoes a try. The dining area was small and had a nice tan/brown décor of mostly... More

I visited Big Tomatoes with six others. We arrived a little before they opened for dinner and they allowed us to come in early, so we didn't have to wait outside in the cold. Even though we were early, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I really like their decor - apparently the restaurant was built in an old... More

Thank you to the wait staff and chef for providing a great experience and wonderful food on 11/17. My husband and I went out for dinner on our sinful Saturday...(that means you can eat what ever you want and not worry about it) and it was amazing. I had the scallops and substituted the Angel hair with risotto...fantastic to the... More

We met RC through our friend and were told at how wonderful the meal and atmosphere is at the restaurant. How true, the meal and service were out of this world. The fact that the chef handles every plate that goes out of the kitchen assures a perfect meal, no matter what you are eating. I have never had such... More

Big Tomatoes has been our restaurant of choice for special occasions since it opened. The last two visits have been a disappointment. We called for a reservation and were not on the list. The server recalled my husband calling and her excuse was that our reservation was not transferred to the new type of seating list. The server, while nice,... More
