Kavarna Coffeehouse is a cafe in Green Bay's Broadway District. We offer a mix of sandwiches, pitas, wraps and salads--using many local ingredients when the seasons cooperate. We have an espresso bar, a full time baker, and a lot of space to get things done--the New York Times called us, "cavernous," in their feature on 36 Hours in Green Bay.

Best coffee shop in town to meet friends or for a business meeting

I seldom eat a meal at Kavarna - it's more often an occasion for a lovely mug of tea with a friend. The coffee and tea menu is extensive, as is the bakery. The exposed brick walls and natural wood create a lovely atmosphere. Although there are plenty of tables, the space is cut up enough to... read more

Very busy for lunch. Not enough seating for that time of day. The line went out the door. I didn't find the selections all that exciting.

We visited Green Bay for less than a day and had a chance to have a drink in this cute café. The staff were so nice and made conversation with us. They recommended the honey latté and I went for it. Great idea - the latté was so good! They also had a little clothing shop inside the café but... More

Kavarna started as a little hole-in-the-wall place a couple of blocks south of its current location. So often, when a restaurant expands and moves, the quality and character of the place suffers. Not so here. Kavarna has maintained its quirky coffee house ambiance and excellent food, despite its incredible growth. I especially appreciate the wide variety of vegetarian options. Prices... Come here often and enjoy it. They have the weirdest organic type sandwiches but they're delicious. They have desserts that will make you buy them even if you're not hungry. Their coffee is delicious and they let you have as much as you want as long as you're there. Their drinks are great too. Tons of seating so there's always... More

I've been here twice and will return and bring others along. The atmosphere reminds me of a NYC-style loft, exposed duct work and bricks. The food is yummy. On my first visit I had the artichoke wrap and a chai shake. Highly recommend both. Came back less than a week later with my supervisor. Had the spinach salad and soup.... More

This is a great location with a nice atmosphere, but as a coffee snob I was disappointed to find nothing other than coffee dispensers and espressos. Some Hario V60s, Chemex, or other brew to order set-up would bring out the flavors of the coffee and make this place excellent. I love that they have organic coffees and the breakfast I... More

Stopped by on my way through town. Loved it! I wish I could come here more often! I had a very tasty breakfast & coffee and I like the interior a lot!

this was our first time in Green Bay so we went to this place for lunch after leaving the airport. I ordered the turkey club and my wife had the grilled vegetable pita. I thought mine was, well, average. It's a club sandwich. The grilled vegetable pita was visually attractive and she said that it was good. The place is... More

Uptight and unfriendly staff serve poor to fair food. Vegetarian. Shabby chic surroundings. Our group had most of the sandwiches and we were unimpressed with any of them.
