Kavarna Coffeehouse is a cafe in Green Bay's Broadway District. We offer a mix of sandwiches, pitas, wraps and salads--using many local ingredients when the seasons cooperate. We have an espresso bar, a full time baker, and a lot of space to get things done--the New York Times called us, "cavernous," in their feature on 36 Hours in Green Bay.

Good stop for a healthy meal

My husband and I stopped for lunch in Green Bay. As a vegetarian I sometimes have trouble finding a restaurant that offers meatless main dishes. The black bean & cheese quesadilla at Kavarna was wonderful. It came with spicy salsa and sour cream and a side of great fruit. My husband had a bowl... read more

this was our first time in Green Bay so we went to this place for lunch after leaving the airport. I ordered the turkey club and my wife had the grilled vegetable pita. I thought mine was, well, average. It's a club sandwich. The grilled vegetable pita was visually attractive and she said that it was good. The place is... More

Uptight and unfriendly staff serve poor to fair food. Vegetarian. Shabby chic surroundings. Our group had most of the sandwiches and we were unimpressed with any of them.

Bridgetender sandwich was tasty, and the Mango Smoothie was refreshing! Plenty of seating in lower level, and the service was efficient. My party of eight enjoyed the Sunday lunch.

A friend and I went for dinner at Kavarna because of the vegetarian/vegan options. After ordering our food at the counter, we took a seat. One of the counter waitstaff brought out my friends soup entrée 15 minutes before she brought out my bean burger. By the time I received my food, my friend had nearly finished hers. You’d think... The food was alright, but expensive. No one was really super friendly, just a very basic staff. The building in location was very neat, but not so sure I would become a regular.

As a vegetarian, most restaurants have one or two options for entrees that are vegetarian friendly. This restaurant has so many things to choose from! I've had the squirrel burger (a walnut patty), a portabella mushroom burger, and a few other standout dishes on the many visits I've made here. So far there isn't any dish I wouldn't order again.... Love it here! People are friendly. Food was fabulous. Latte was good. Atmosphere very quiet and in the old historic GB district near retro shoppes, etc. I'll be back!

Stopped here while on a road trip with friends and we all fell in love with the hipster like atmosphere and the wonderful menu. Love that they have free wi-fi and I was able to skype with my daughter while we were having lunch. The organic coffee that they serve is terrific, as is the rosewater lemonade. We tried the... This place was chosen by manager Jim as I am a Vegan. I really liked the dish I ordered (falafel wrap) and my colleagues too, who were non-vegetarians and visiting for first time, said they planned to visit again. It is spacious and the ambience was lively. All you have to do is order, pay and crack a joke or... More
