Yes, I said FISH BOIL!

This was a unique, octagon-shaped Victorian home turned into a family-run restaurant with a difference: they serve only boiled fish, barbecue chicken, and barbecue pork --- all cooked over the open wood fire right out in their backyard. I have always wondered about fish boils on our trips up to... read more

Have been there before and it is always the same. Good cod, chicken, and ribs. The food is really good, the service is very good and it's a pretty cool house. No bad comments.

Always good, inexpensive, fish, barbecue chicken and ribs, very simple, in an old octagon house in a very small town. You can sit outside in warmer months. Fun for whole family. Consistently very good!

Nothing compares to the fish boil. The chicken and ribs cooked outside on open fire are to.die.for! Finish it off.with incredible apple slices.

If you want a great fish boil this is the place. You get all you can eat fish, small whole onions, red potatoes smothered in real butter if you would like and coleslaw, rye bread with salt on top and 1 apple slice. You can also get chicken or ribs but the fish is plenty. This use to be an old... More

My only complaint was the women's bathroom was ice cold, almost the same temperature as outside and it's January. Otherwise food was great, staff was friendly. It was a slow night when we went. Staffed seemed to be hanging around by the bar due to the quiet night, but they were attentive asking for drinks from the bar and cleaning... More

Everything about this place is homey – from the triple campfire outside where they cook the fish, potatoes and onions to the Midwestern friendliness of the staff. The fish is fabulous. When dipped in drawn butter the lobster comparisons are genuine, but at a cod price. Adults are $15-18 for all you can eat---lower end for just fish, higher end... More

Fitzgerald's is the gem of Genoa City. The cocktails are not only inventive, and delicious, they are affordable too. The deck is a great place to relax and watch the cooks bar-b-que and do the fish boil. The dining areas are eclectically shabby chic. My favorite is the fish, but fellow diners have liked the chicken and ribs too.

I recently wwent to Fitzgeralds with my family for my husbands birthday. Some of us was for the first time.. Everyone loved everything. Even the 5 kids that wqere there enjoyed the fish. They also got an extra treat. The girl gave them another piece of apple slice. Very friendly people.

Set in a historic building in a small town just two blocks north of the State Line, Fitzgerald's provides a dining experience that's pure Wisconsin nostalgia. It's a perfect cap to a day spent in nearby Lake Geneva, WI or Richmond, IL. Though the restaurant opened in 1989, it has the aura of an eatery that's been around much longer.... More
