The restaurant itself is very nice and they have a wide variety of menu items. But went there with a person who has a sulfide allergy and found it very difficult to find anything they could eat that didn't have sulfites or wine in it. Service was very good at the start, but had to wait for desert to be... More

First of all, you can probably call me a foodie. I can be a snob about food and service, but came away from an awesome dinner at The Union House very pleased. The chef has true culinary skills. It is not fair to compare the food or the prices of this restaurant with $9.99 fish fry's all over the state.... More

What's to like about the Union House? Just about everything. The wife & I enjoy this place often. Their food is delicious and expertly prepared. Choose from their ever changing menu or evening specials or the wild game entree (usually my favorite) you can expect a great meal. I love the appetizers especially the escargot. The deserts are also memorable.... More

Arrived on a Saturday night @ 1900 restaurant was busy but we were seated with in 8 min. It took 1/2 hour to get a very small but good salad. another 1/2 hour to get our entrees. Then :15 min more for desert. The food was very good, the staff very accommodating but the service TOOO slow IMHO.

Our meal was great and the service was also great. We have been at this restaurant several times with our friends and always have great great food. They have some very good specials which you cannot get a lot of restaurants (such as wild game). We usually go to this restaurant everytime we go to WI. They have a great... More

We came for a romantic dinner and we were not disappointed. The French Onion Soup was delicious. It was loaded with cheese and had a rich flavorful beef stock. The Orange Shrimp was a very pleasant surprise. The Scallops, one of the specials that night, were accompanied by Quinoa which had a nice nutty texture. The Filet was cooked to... More

Old depot station transformed into a small cozy restaurant in downtown Genesee (if you can call it downtown). Curt, the owner?, was behind the bar and was an expert on scotch and wine. There is a game food aspect to the menu, I had a venison tenderloin that I could have eaten if I had no teeth. Service was excelelnt... More

Despite having eaten in some of the finest restaurants in the US and Europe, this little gem consistently impresses me. The food is absolutely spectacular. Any cook can do a rare steak. Only a true chef can prepare a Filet Mignon well done without drying it out (and without butterflying it). Dauphinoise potatoes were outstanding. Haricot verts were al dente.... More

We go here often after business meetings and the food and service are always great. I read some of the other reviews complaining about the atmosphere. They just don't get it.
