This place is just meh, it is not good, it is not bad. The hotel I stayed at (Holiday Inn) recommended it even though the person had never been there. I should have known right then and there. From the outside it looks okay, but its not that good on the inside. The place was understaffed, I came in with... More

I had eaten here before the new ownership took over. Food was good then, but now they have really stepped up their menu. Delicious pizza and French onion soup. Oh, and we can't forget the cheese curds (we are in Wisconsin, ya know).

My husband and I ate at Cap'ns recently and found the food to be horrible. I had a small pizza which has a ton of garlic salt on it; I would never expect pizza to even have garlic salt on it, but this had a lot. My husband had a Reuben which had large clumps of corned beef. The bread... More

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience. Thank you for making us aware of the situation. That isn't the experience we want any of our guests to have. I realize that some time has passed, but do you happen to recall the name of your waitress? We would like to make sure that something like... More

Good food and service. Food could have been hotter. Would go there again. Our party had Steak, Prime Rib and Rib Eye sandwich, and a burger.

Maybe I'm not being fair, but Randy the owner who passed away a few years ago, used to greet every customer and knew you by your first name. Miss not being greeted and just seems less friendly. Food is so so but not as good. Do try it and give them a chance. Not one of our favorites anymore.

Went with a family of 8 and all seemed pleased. I had the blackened salmon with steamed broccoli and it came out exactly right. No complaints. Not very busy and the service was friendly and ok. Wine list had some good choices well priced. Not haute cuisine but delivered what we wanted.

I should have known when there were few cars in the parking lot on a Friday night in Wisconsin. We went in anyway. It was the worst fish fry I have ever had, and within the top ten worst meals I have ever had in a restaurant. The baked fish had been nuked to the point of just being warm.... More

Liked the atmosphere but thought the menu and food were just so so. We waited almost to the end of our meal to have our drinks refilled by our server.

Capn's continues to evolve into a sports bar type of establishment. Probably won't take young kids there unless it's for a brunch. Bar service was excellent.

We have been here many time. The place has changed a few times in the past year. They have tried a few different menus and none have worked. This place WAS Great before all the changes. If it ain't broke....... Service is not what it has been in a long time. Food is not what it used to be. We... More
