The Fish Boil Show/Spectacle is worth the visit but the food is only OK

The whole fish boil process was fascinating and the kids really enjoyed watching the process. I would agree with other reviews that the fish itself was plain and very bony. If you have never been to (or even heard of) a fish boil it is worth the trip and Pelletiers was recommended by locals. The... read more

We kept hearing about the famous "fishboils" so went to one at Pelletiers. The actual boil over was very interesting but none of us cared for the fish too much, too boney, too plain tasting. The rest of the food was average. Cherry pie, however, was excellent. Neat to go there and see a fish boil, plenty of seating but... More

Pelletier's has the best fish boil because of the very fresh fish & the chance to get a smaller portion.

Plenty of open tables compared to all the other restaurants nearby. We sat immediately and was greeted by our waitress with hot coffee. Several of us had the cherry stuffed French toast. I still dream about it! Not too sweet and large portion.

We wanted to try the local Fish Boil. The place is nothing compared with the level of the other restaurants around. Service is not good. Food is scarce for the price.

Came to Door County for vacation & wanted to try a famous Door County fish boil. Arrived a 10 minutes prior "boil over". That was long enough to watch the cooking process & still see excitement of explosion of flame & boil over. Went inside to eat & sat in booth near bar. Wrong move, as there we loud drunks... More

Watch the guys create the fish boil outside. Get a bit of history of the area too. Boom! Up go the flames at the end of cooking and inside you go for an incredibly fresh fish meal, complete with great cherry pie, of course!

A Door County visit isn't complete without a fish boil experience. We have always found this location to be very welcoming and they do a great job of explaining the process and sourcing of their ingredients. My husband loves the fish boil food, and I am happy because I can make a different food selection--so we are both happy. Excellent... More

This was our second time for the fish boil at Pelletier's. We very much enjoyed the fish boil experience and the delicious meal. The cherry pie was really good too!

We went to the fish boil to try a new experience. Like another reviewer, I can't understand why it is rated a 4. The boil itself takes very little time. I think the guy throwing the kerosene on the fire might have been telling some stories, but we couldn't hear him because there were too many people. The actual boil... More
