White Gull is a great inn and restaurant any time of year, but in the off-season, it offers a bargain soup and sandwich special during the week. Also, the iced tea and desserts are fantastic. Afterwards, take a walk down Cottage Row, a lane of older mansions and other great properties around the corner.

Ordered the 1/2 order French stuffed french toast. Plenty! Was not warm at all. Would not even melt butter. Told the server. She apologized and took it to the kitchen to warm it up. When it the plate returned it was adequate but not great. Plus being cream cheese stuffed french toast it was now soggy. Took a piece of... More

We've stayed at the Inn a number of times and always enjoy the setting and food, especially the breakfast. We could not make the fish boil this time, but the breakfast, as usual, was terrific. Our adult kids knocked theirs off with great gusto. The corned beef hash is exceptional (even though I have seen comments about it being "burned"... More

Have tried their food a couple of times and have not been disappointed. It can get pricey, but in Door County that is not rare. The place itself can get a bit "pretentious" with a decidedly older, more established clientele. Don't know when we'll be back in, but it is not on our list of favorites. Try it, it may... More

We always visit the White Gull Inn while in Door County, usually for lunch. The lunch menu offers salads, sandwiches as well as breakfast items. The Doorwich sandwich is particularly tasty. And the cherry pie is outstanding, an absolute "must have" when in town.

Wife and I have gone here dozens of times in the last few years. It is a 'must visit' every time we are up in Door County. The Cherry Stuffed French Toast is fantastic!

The service is spectacular and the food is always wonderful. During the holidays the Inn is all decorated and you can purchase the many beautiful things that are on display.

Beautiful atmosphere and exceedingly kind wait-staff. Our group ordered breakfast all around and everyone agreed the food was outstanding. I had the renowned stuffed french toast and it was everything it was built up to be. Creamy and delicious, lightly sweet without syrup or powdered sugar with delicious cherries on the side. We were there off-season and so experienced no... More

This place lived up to the hype. I almost didn't go because I was worried about the long wait time for breakfast ( can be an hour or more I was told) but I happened to be there in low season (October) so I took a chance. No wait time! Scandinavian ambiance and decor, like the rest of the region.... More
