So glad we made it here! We waited about 30 minutes for a table but didn't mind a bit. With pager in hand we were able to get coffee from the coffee bar and stroll the grounds. When you purchase coffee from the porch your cup provides you free refills inside. Had to taste the coffee cake, was cherry that... More

We had both breakfast and dinner here and would have had many more meals had we been staying longer. Wonderful service, comfortable surroundings, great quiet dinner music, and delicious food. The cherry bread pudding is, as they say, to die for, but the cherry french toast is close behind. The hotel is supposed to be great, also.

We go for the cherry stuffed French toast. The hash browns are hot and crispy. Usually I get the half order of French toast and still have some left. The bacon is good as well. There is usually a wait but there is coffee available on the patio and it is a pleasant place to wait. It does get noisy... More

Very traditional fish boil! It was really cool to get to see the giant fire pit where the fish was being cooked as we ate! The fish was a little bland but whatever the presentation totally made up for it and the homemade tartar sauce definitely helped! Our server was amazing she came over right away to show us how... The cherry french toast is every bit as good as advertised. The cherries and maple syrup are from Door County. I now know why it won the best breakfast in America challenge. The nice guy hashbrowns are also good. I would do a 1/2 order of the french toast and the nice guy hashbrowns.

I had the best salmon I've ever had in a beautiful inn and restaurant. The service is terrific. They even had a guitar player who played folk music...it was great. This place was voted the #1 Restaurant for Breakfast by GMA and their breakfast menu is outstanding. My husband had the roast duck and was in heaven. We split a... More

We had stayed at the White Gull in the past and loved the breakfast!!! So we thought we would try dinner. Unfortuantly, it was not up to the par of breakfast quality. Steak was kind of chewy and potatoes ok. My whitefish with shrimp and pesto came out barely warm. When I requested, they did heat it up satisfactorily. The... More

Not sure if this restaurant which has been honored by Good Morning America, as America's Best Breakfast Place, could serve a good dinner. Well, they sure did. Good wine list, White Gull Inn salad and the caprese salad were very good. The scallops with egg noodles and the walleye with fried potatoes and vegetables was outstanding.

We're from Pennsylvania so had never heard of a Fish Boil. All seatings were full so we got on a stand by list & luckily got in. It was a fun experience. All the guests congregate on the back patio & watch the fish boil & & hear about the history of how it all began. Then inside to homey... More

We went to the White Gull Inn for Brunch. It's a beautiful Bed and Breakfast/Restaurant and the food was ok except for the Stuffed French Toast. Though rich, it was wonderful and a must try if you like French Toast.
