We went here after a Segway tour nearby. Since it was a Monday night it was not very busy so we were seated immediately. It is not terribly quiet because of the wood floor and other hard surfaces. So I can imagine it gets very noisy if the place is full. For us it was totally fine. Service was prompt... More

We've had breakfasts and lunches here. They add a nice twist to breakfast potatoes and have very nice homemade biscuits. The coffee cake is yummy.

Stopped here yesterday on a day trip to Door County with friends. Found The Cookery after leaving another establishment in Egg Harbor because of rude service. We were greeted and seated right away, and had drinks in a minute. We all ordered sandwiches and they arrived promptly and were tasty! Great place for lunch.

I would get the cherry ginger ale. The food was great and fresh. My family had everything from their salads to their chicken salad sandwich which was very good. Try to sit outside if the weather is good.

We split the eggplant fries and they were so just-right - not greasy at all, light and crispy. Each of us had an entree. All was prepared to 5-star gourmet standards. Great menu with variety and fresh new ideas. Plenty of wait staff to do your bidding. We highly recommend this chef-inspired restaurant.

Went to The Cookery for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we ordered. The BLT with potato salad and applesauce was outstanding as well as the salmon fillet sandwich. Service was a little slow but busy as you would expect.

We have been coming here once a year for the past five years. Every meal has been delicious. The Whitefish Chowder is a great starter, and if you are up for something fun to drink I recommend you try the Cherry Ginger Ale. We always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful views of the downtown Fish Creek area. Worth... More

We ate at the Cookery on a Friday night with friends. Consistent with our past visits, the food, drinks and service were all very good. They had no problem accommodating the gluten- and dairy-free requirements of one in our party. Remains one of our favorite places to eat in DC.

We dined on a Monday around 6:30 with 2 kids. They sat us right away without bothering to ask if we wanted to sit outside. Oh well. The server was very scatterbrained. She was nice but just forgot things, never asked if wanted more drinks and never brought us water. Actually, I looked around and none of the other diners... More

My husband and I ate just about every meal during our week long stay in Door County. The food was excellent, service awesome, and atmosphere relaxed. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner you can't lose. The wine bar upstairs is fun at night with great live music and robust wine menu. I have a gluten allergy and this was one of the... More
