Casual Fine Dining

We ate here twice during our stay because it's THAT good. This restaurant has been here since the 70's and you would never know it. Modern and casual. Two floors of dining plus a patio area. Came here midweek for a late lunch with the family- everyone loved it! Delicious food (fish tacos, buttered noodles, cheeseburger) for the kids in a very pleasant atmosphere with excellent, attentive service- all for a reasonable price in the heart of Fish Creek! Highly recommended!

We ate at The Cookery Restaurant & Wine Bar two times while in Door County. Loved all the food and drinks with cherries! Into healthy eating, so liked the fact that they use local produce! Everything we ate was really good! Price was very reasonable also!

We've been coming here for over 20 years and never been disappointed. The menu has a lot of original things all made from the produce of local farmers and artisans. The food is EXCELLENT and plentiful. Service is top notch as is the ambience. You'll thank me when you go here.

We were on our way to another place when we saw The Cookery and decided to stop. Boy, were we glad we did. Great food, good service, terrific ambiance. This place is a Door County gem!

We were directed here from advice of several locals, especially hyping their Whitefish Chowder. Three in our group of 6 ordered the Whitefish Chowder and each complained about not finding any whitefish in their chowder. For dinner 3 of us ordered the Whitefish entree, one ordered the Salmon and two ordered the Fried Perch. The Whitefish was average, but disappointed... More

Waited for 45 minutes in an upstairs waiting area that was crowded. After being sat it took over 10 minutes to have a server wait on us for drinks. Meal was average, but being in Door County with oodles of restaurants I would go more off the beaten path if you want great food.

We went to The Cookery on a Thursday morning. We ordered the blueberry pancakes, and the omelette with roasted tomato, fresh spinach, and pesto. It came with pumpkin bread and apple sauce. It was amazing! I wish it was closer so we could go more often.
