Incredible Dining Experience

The ambience is lovely, wait staff, superb and the FOOD- amazing! I had the pork chop- biggest I've ever seen, had to take 1/2 home. Partner had the scallops. Each bite was a treat. For dessert, try the donut ice cream sundae- but split it between 2 people. In the summertime, if it's hot out... read more

We had an excellent meal for our special occasion visit. We were seated immediately. The service was excellent. I had appraised the restaurant of my wife's food allergy when I made the reservations. Our waiter was informed in advance, brought up the topic when handing us the menus, had checked the ingredients of every dish and advised my wife on... More

We really liked this restaurant. We showed up without reservation and, after a day of outdoor fun, looking and smelling definitely on the casual side of the other customers. Still we got friendly reception and very competent service. The dining room is really inviting with high ceiling, big windows and tastefully set tables. The menu definitely shows chef's willingness to... More

This is the one restaurant that my husband and I MUST visit every time we go to DC which is at least twice a year. No matter how many nights we are staying one night is dedicated to Whistling Swan no matter if our stay is short or long. Every meal we have had has been cooked to perfection and... More

We were advised by the hotel we were staying in to dine at the Whistling Swan - we did not have reservations, and when we walked in the woman made us feel like they were doing us a favor by letting us dine in their establishment. This is an upscale restaurant with prices to go with it. The food was... More

We've walked by the Whistling Swan a million times over the years and finally decided to check out the menu. When we walked up to the front door to review the menu, the host popped out and warmly invited us in. That walk in the door sold us - it's beautiful in there. The host was warm and friendly and... I was with a friend in a restaurant couple weeks ago. We order a couple of appetizers and one entree. Appetizers were ok, but nothing special, I expected more. Our entree was some kind of pasta, without any taste or spices, we couldn't even finish it. The worst part was our service, our server was an older guy, who treated... More

Terrific service, wine pairing, unusual surprises and lovely atmosphere. So many neat places in Door County but this is a must see and enjoy!

What a nice place! A little too formal for my liking. The menu was unique but required interpretation from our waiter as the ingredients were not familiar to us. Not a place I would take kids. Glad we went but I would choose a more casual place if I visit again.

The menu changes nightly based on the fresh ingredients available and are melded into delightful entrees and fabulous desserts. They only serve beer and wine, many local. Everything was delicious from starters through dessert. A gifted chef!
