You have got to stop here at least once on your trip to Door County. Old time hot dog place complete with a soda fountain. Try off times or you will have to wait i.e. late afternoon. A flash from the past and simply delicious!

This is basically a hamburger joint. It has quite a reputation but we were not impressed by the food.

Wilson's has one of the best BLT's on the planet. Couple that with their homemade ice cream or a chocolate shake, and the meal is complete. Locals pop by all evening for cones (sold at a counter outside). In summer, sit out under the red/white awning and enjoy the great lakes' breeze while you eat. Great for a kid's birthday... More

Of course - for Ice cream. Even though the temp was in the 40's, the place was loaded with customers. The food is typical burger fare, but in that quaint setting, it just seemed to taste wonderfully well. The only downfall is the waiting time. They are a victim of their own success.

Heard about this from local guy at breakfast in Sturgeon Bay. Never met an ice cream cone I didn't like. This was no disappointment. Place was packed for both sit-down food as well as for ice cream. Got waffle cone & it was overflowing with very yummy mint chip & mackinaw island fudge ice cream. Hubby got butterscotch sundae which... More

Try their fantastic ice cream flavors and you will know why you usually have to park along the road in Ephraim. And yes, the locals say it like "E-fram". Foods good too great 50s& 60's music. Friendly waitresses. And let's face it-ice cream knows no season. Any time is perfect for ice cream here!

This cute little place you can't miss when driving through Ephraim. We stopped to have some lunch and ice cream. There burgers are your typical diner burgers (we had the mushroom and swiss one). The chicken sandwich was good, nothing special. We had a root beer float which was really yummy. They make their own root beer, and the ice... More

We went to Wilson's each night of our stay. The food is excellent, the service is quick and very polite. And the ice cream is a perfect ending.

Can't speak to the food, as we did not eat here. We visited after dinner for coffee and ice cream, enjoying it very much, and sat on the bench and enjoyed the GREAT view of the bay. I had a hot fudge sunday that was very good. My family had cones - the single scoop itself is huge. There is... More
