The boil itself was informative and fun with the story teller/boiler chef explaining the fish boil tradition in Door County. The meal was well organized and delicious. It was one of the best fish boils. Staff assisted patrons with removing the bones. Highly recommended.

Old fashioned breakfast spot which also serves fish boil for dinner. Skip the fish boil unless you like boiled fish and potatoes and opt for the breakfast. The quaint indoor dining room is quintessential Door County. The patio overlooks the bay.

Did lots of research about best choice for fish boil - loved the combination of a historic building, lake view, the cultural experience of a boil, excellent service, and family atmosphere. You feel at home in the Old Post Office. Call ahead for reservations and times. The white fish was outstanding - thick and tender with melted butter -- poor... More

The wife and I were staying in Ephraim and wanted to get a good breakfast and we had heard that we must try the Old Post Office. The recommendations we got from friends to go go here were perfect! They have good food, fast friendly service, all with with a wonderful view of the lake! They don't have a very... More

The view from this charming little breakfast place is to die for! Service was wonderful and my husband's cherry pancakes were off the hook--worth every calorie. I only had some oatmeal but topped with Door County cherries and blueberries really made it special. If you want to have a relaxing breakfast outside of the Fish Creek crowds, try this little... It's been too many years since I've been back to Door County and even longer since I've had a fish boil so I decided to try the Old Post Office because it's the only place in DC that I haven't had a fish boil. We arrived just in time to catch the boil and the infotainment that accompanied it. Our... More

We have been to fish boils in Door County in the past. We were looking for one that we had not tried before. We selected The Old Post Office restaurant in Ephraim. It was conveniently located about a block away from our lodging. The program presented during the preparation of the food was informative and coupled with some light-hearted humor.... More

We were at Door County from Oct 18 - 19. We were told that Old Post Office is one of the best restaurants. We went in for Sunday breakfast. It was super crowded and we had to wait for 15-20 min to get a table. All this time during our wait, we were hoping that the food is worth the... More

I went for the Fish Boil which is cooked by the owner, who is a third generation fisherman from the area. Good food, great history, clean and relaxing dinning area.
