My wife and I visited The Chef's Hat restaurant during a trip to Door County this summer. I had the Chicken Salad sandwich and my wife had the Pear Gorgonzola Turkey Wrap. The Chicken Salad was a reminiscent of "Waldorf style" as it had almonds, dried cranberries, and scallions. I think the sandwich was a bit dry-the salad could have... More

The Chef's Hat has a wide unique menu and the normal standards. Outdoor tables for nice days. Good eats here.

We enjoyed our early dinner here. The menu options are good and there is also a take-out option for everything. I had the Blackened Tuna salad which was good but I felt the tuna was not done enough for my taste. We came at an odd time 4:30 p.m. and while there was only one waiter he did a good... More

We stopped for a later dinner at the Chefs Hat and really enjoyed our meal. I had ordered a meatloaf and I must say it was perhaps the best I've had along with grilles asparagus and massed potatoes. We sat outside and watched the sunset over Eagle Harbot. Will be stopping again.

Sweet & cozy atmosphere with a good menu variety. Outdoor seating on nice weather days makes this place a fun place to people watch or view the water.

We had 2 nights in Ephraim staying 1 minute's walk away so this was the obvious choice for breakfast (as it was pre-season they were not open in the evenings otherwise we would have had an evening meal here as well!). On our first visit we had the hearty breakfast with endless coffee. The following day we simply had to... More

When you go out to eat in door county the food generally is spectacular. Here the food was average. I mean it was good but nothing to rant and rave about.

Three of us had the hearty breakfast which came with hashbrowns, eggs, toast, ham, and bacon. Most of it was pretty good. My other son had a plate with french toast, bacon, and two eggs. It was pretty expensive for a side of hashbrowns and the small amount you got. Our waitress made a mistake on our bill and overcharged... More

Staying just around the corner form the Chef's Hat, we welcomed the short walk for an early lunch. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. We sat along the window overlooking the quiet street. The server was very disinterested in us. He couldn't make eye contact to save his life, and was looking around at other tables while speaking to us.... More
