Every time we are in Door we try something new. This was our first time to the Chef's Hat. The cafe is cozy and cute inside. They have a nice variety of breakfast and lunch items in winter. Prices are $9-$13 which is pretty consistent with other places. I would recommend the Half-It option - for $9.99 I had a... More

We visited this place in the spring as well and loved it so much we visited the next morning and our first morning this time around. I am pretty sure I could have made a meal out of the scones but then I would have been missing out on their excellent breakfast. We will be back!

I am a tourist turned local, and since moving to Door County, my husband and I have been trying as many places as we can. We stopped in at Chef's Hat with my mother-in-law today, and we were met with a crowd. Now, being a beautiful Saturday in the midst of the autumn tourist season, this wasn't unexpected, and we... We entered thru what I think is the back door, and were greeted warmly as we were guided to another room to wait for a table. This is where I stood watching desserts, coffee and drInks were prepared. I noticed that it seemed to be a bit messy/dirty back there, which turned me off a little. We were seated quickly.... More

Had a great Lunch at Chef's Hat. I had a bacon, mushroom and Swiss burger and it was awesome. My wife had a half sandwich and soup. The soup was a pumpkin bisque. Overall it was a great lunch. I will be back for sure.

This our second time at Chefs Hat and we enjoyed it once again. We were encouraged by friends to try the scrambler and we were not disappointed. I had the asparagus supreme. (Portabellla mushroom, asparagus, tomato, red pepper, andouille sausage with baby Swiss. The fresh fruit bowl was yummy. . ?where do they get such beautiful fruit this time of... More

We ate a late lunch here on a chilly day and really appreciated the hot soup & sandwiches at Chef's Hat. We had several varieties of sandwiches ranging from chicken salad to turkey & everyone agreed they were delicious. The tomato basil soup was exceptionally flavorful. We will eat here again!

We've visited Chef's Hat on several trips to Door County but have only eaten breakfast there. We have always had good service, good food, and have enjoyed the gorgeous view of the water. Their breakfast menu features several non-traditional items, and they are well-known for their biscotti. The coffee is a bit strong for our tastes, but that is just... More

Have stopped in for dinner and lunch over the last couple of years and have been satisfied. Nothing great, but the place is always in order and you can see that it is very clean. The food is typical American fare with a few nods on the menu to more health-conscious cooking and ingredients. Prices are fair. The staff has... More
